"My wife and I stopped at La Vecchia Masseria on our way to another restaurant. From the roadside it seemed a good bet, good location, lots of locals and a reasonably priced menu, so we were happy to change our plans. Being in Germany, you...are of course used to an efficiency that perhaps you do not get with other European neighbours but from the outset our waiter was brusque and abrupt; I only just managed to order a side of green salad as he had already sprinted eight steps away from us when we’d finished the last syllables of our main courses. My wife had a pasta dish and I a pizza. Both of which, as many have commented here, were perfectly adequate. I would stop short however of recommending the food. Both dishes came alarmingly quickly. The pizza was over cheesed and nothing an Italian, or dare I say a Londoner, would recognise as a well prepared base. The pasta dish was creamy but did have an uncooked blob of roux left in it. To be clear, the food was not a deal breaker for us, it did the job, and had it not been for the service and lack of care for paying guests I would have left happy. If you’re looking for a break from sausage and beer halls, look elsewhere."

Simple, delicious Italian food and fantastic wine. Staff were very friendly and gave us a starter of olives despite it not being on the menu. Great atmosphere.

This restaurant present itself like an Italian restaurant but there is so little Italian in the menu and also in the quality of the food. Very low quality and overpriced. Very loud too.

this was an extraordinary experience in a few. the food was delicious and the service and the atmosphere were also wonderful. If you want to extend over the large German restaurants in Munich, this will certainly make the trick.

absolutely terrible experience. we were placed on a cramped table that turned out to be directly on the pizza oven. our dresses and haare stinks now to cook fat. the waitress was extremely bad and not interested. eating was very mediocre. overall extreme...disappointing

This is a friendly place, and because of a special Sunday price for pizza it was crowded well into the evening. My wife had seafood; I had saltimbocca; neither of us was greatly impressed. However, our mushroom soup was very good. The ambience is very...agreeable, and that makes up for a good deal. The service is also very good.

We enjoyed our four meals (fish, ravioli, lasagne, and a meat dish), the place was attractive (we ate outdoors), bur we were greeted by a hurried waiter, who seemed annoyed by our presence and was quite brusque. As he was taking our orders I said...to him Ta det lugnt (Swedish for Take it easy or Calm down which he seemed to understand and became less of a grouch. Not sure I would recommend this place, as Munich is loaded with Italian restaurants.
