"We had a look at the menu in the morning and someone doing the cleaning took the trouble to come out and ask if they could help. This high level of service continued all evening.We were very pleased with the good number of choices on the menu, fish, meat etc and the quality was very good.I was particularly pleased to see quite a large number of wines available by the glass at reasonable prices so we had quite a selection between us and tried several of the wines made on the island.The main, front, part of the restaurant is not very big and although there are tables at the back, and outside weather permitting, I would suggest reserving. We were fairly off-peak but the front part was full, apparently everyone being locals except us.The wlecome, the friendliness, good food and wine means that if we were staying there again that is where we would eat."

"Vom Festland kommend kann man die Fischerstube rechts der Obere Rheinstrasse kaum übersehen. Wir haben uns ganz spontan für ein Mittagessen in der Fischerstube entschieden und dies nicht bereut. Ein Tisch unter dem Sonnenschirm in der Gartenwirtschaft war für uns ohne Reservierung schön gedeckt und die Servicetochter hat uns umgehend Getränke angeboten. Ein Mineralwasser und ein Glass Weisswein von der Insel war gerade das Richtige bei dem schönen Wetter und der gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Wir haben gerne das Angebot des Tages gewählt und unser Menu wie folgt zusammen gestellt:• Sprudel natur zum abkühlen • Weisswein Müller Thurgau aus Reichenau • Gemischter Salat für zwei• Gebratener Saibling mit Petersilien Kartoffeln• Espresso mit Vanilleglacé• Tropicana – Orangensaft mit VanilleglacéEs war ein sehr gemütliches Mittagsessen und die Bedienung in jeder Hinsicht sehr freundlich. Der gebratene Saibling war gekonnt zubereitet und hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Preise waren moderat und wir freuen uns jetzt schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch in der Fischerstube."

"the seahotel schiff is located directly on the beautiful lake and guests can enjoy the view of the water.At the end of December 2016 we were eating at 4th overnight. the bratwurst an zwiebelsause - as one is used to in eastern Switzerland - was very wonderfully prepared, but the supplement was not, because the served rösti was burned (black, not dark brown). When the waiter suggested to me the teller, I immediately noticed that the rösti had a little bit fried, or too dark. Without licking with the lasher, he replied that he was so and removed from the table. I - and also my friends - were speechless! because we were hungry and I didn't want to organize a huge tamtam, nothing else left me to eat the non-brained and stack the black parts on the edge of the plate. when the waiter did not get the complaining, we all dispensed with a dessert. If eating is desalinated, a waiter cannot see that, burned but already and then - you might think - the teller should not find the way to the gast at all, at least in a good restaurant. mistakes can happen everywhere, an apologies should not be the impossibility.The prices I feel - for’s thurgauer land - rather raised, but can be explained by the really good situation. in front of the house it has parking."

"Waren gestern dort Essen. Bestellt wurde Wurstsalat garniert/ ohne/ Wurt-Käse-Salat, sowie Getränke und Eis. Der Wurstsalat war sehr übersichtlich und etwas mehr aus dem Teller wäre bei drei kräftigen Männern wünschenswert gewesen. Das Brot war somit sehr schnell alle. Eine Nachbestellung vom Brot musste bei zwei Kellnerinnen angefordert werden. Da wohl die erste Kellnerin dies vergessen hatte. Das Eis war gut. Die zweite Getränkebestellung wurde dann komplett vergessen. Irgendwann kam die Kellnerin und meinte Sie hätte unsere Bestellung vergessen, wüsste aber auch nicht mehr was es war. Wir sind sehr oft im Seestern und hatten solche Probleme noch nie. Wir hoffen dass wenn wir wieder kommen nicht mehr die Bestellungen vergessen werden."

"One of the last remaining fishermen families of the island was the first to build a modern shop with restaurant at the family house right at the lake shore. Sold and served are local specialties, the natural habitat of the nearly sterilized lake waters are yet able to produce (a great thank-you to technocratic administrations benchmarking natural environment).In a combination of self- and waitered service, you may enjoy fish specialties with the locally produced wines, directly made in front of you and served by the young owner, his family and his staff.The fish is served cold raw or smoked, warm cooked and grilled. The grill is outside with the tables.As hidden recommendation, the place is so widely known amongst locals and rtourists, that even off-season, when the island returns back to her rural farming nature, yoy may have hard time finding a table for yourself alone (which would be against the nature of this place, being a communicative institution).The place, for it's nature and mix-style of a home garden restaurant has medium-high pricing."
