"Belle découverte! We had dinner yesterday evening in the restaurant and honestly the quality and taste is totally worth it! The food was delicious! We took the 5 course menu and it was delicious, especially the « veau fumé » (usually i’m not a raw meat fan but that was a surprise). Very nice dessert I’m not a « sweet » nor « dessert » person but it was simply tasty, fresh and delicious : It was « peach declinaison »! The waiters and the service was very good, we didn’t wait much for the food, it was flawless, with good nice timing of the different courses and wine selection! We will 100% come back! Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian menu !"

"Le Toucan was recommended to us by a family who live in Orbe, which is about a ten minute drive from their home. We found the restaurant staff to be very friendly as we all struggled a bit in communicating between French and English, but we had good service and very good food the three times that we dined here. The menu features many salads and pizzas and a selection of interesting entrees. The grilled lake perch was on the menu for all of our visits and it was actually very good, although I'm no sure that it came from nearby Lake Geneva. If you come during nice weather I would definitely recommend that you dine outside on the terrace, which is shaded by tall old trees and is quite nice. In cooler or rainy weather, the inside dining area is divided into the white-table cloth dining room and the wooden table café sides, both of which offer the same menu. One of the evenings that we were there with our two grandchildren we sat in the more casual café area and the service and food were as good as the night that we sat on the terrace - but sitting outside when possible is clearly the better option. This is not a "destination" restaurant, but if you are in the vicinity of Orbe I would certainly recommend it."

"A shame to receive customers like this. We came with a child and the owner dared to say that we would not have access to the terrace: that the children were inside! Yes, there were reservations and yes there was still a table of 2 available. It was close to 30° at the end of the day, which means we wanted to benefit from a terrace and the little evening breeze. Inside, the heat was stifling. It 's simply disgusting. Imagine that we didn 't stay, we preferred the restaurant Au Mai to Mex and we have absolutely no regrets, it 's an excellent establishment! Response to Madam: Of course we made a reservation via THEFORK, of course we have a stroller. We mainly had a portable baby seat to bring him to the table with us. The stroller question is in bad faith: you can fold it, put it in the car, put it aside, etc. When a boss sits with her glass of water in front of unhappy customers, we should better review her conflict management skills. "We had lunch here on Saturday. The staff was welcoming and efficient. We had two main courses between us. There was only one vegetarian option that was very disappointing. It was mainly based on eggplant and much too oily and had too much raw parsley for our taste. On the other hand, the monk was in a delicious sauce and came with beautiful steamed vegetables. Café Latté was almost cold when it was served and made of typically bitter French coffee, but the apple plate was interesting and tasty. Therefore my average score because 50% were very good and 50% were quite terrible. This and a large bottle of champagne cost almost CHF100, but I must learn to suspend the verdict on what costs in Switzerland."

"This restaurant is beside the swimming pool in La Sarraz (not Cossonay which is a few miles down the road). There is parking available although it is a pleasant walk up the hill from the town centre. There is a terrace ideal for aperitifs as the view is excellent on the right day. Although there are quite a few tables, most are booked in advance so either book ahead or get there early if you want a table. The menu specialises in fish from the lake and we both had excellent fera. We shared our respective starters from a good selection. There is a very good selection of wine available by the decilitre, such as Mont-sur-Rolle for white or the local Eclepens red. Service was excellent and we enjoyed seeing the sun go down as we enjoyed a relaxed evening out."
