"Belle découverte! We had dinner yesterday evening in the restaurant and honestly the quality and taste is totally worth it! The food was delicious! We took the 5 course menu and it was delicious, especially the « veau fumé » (usually i’m not a raw meat fan but that was a surprise). Very nice dessert I’m not a « sweet » nor « dessert » person but it was simply tasty, fresh and delicious : It was « peach declinaison »! The waiters and the service was very good, we didn’t wait much for the food, it was flawless, with good nice timing of the different courses and wine selection! We will 100% come back! Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian menu !"

"Le Toucan was recommended to us by a family who live in Orbe, which is about a ten minute drive from their home. We found the restaurant staff to be very friendly as we all struggled a bit in communicating between French and English, but we had good service and very good food the three times that we dined here. The menu features many salads and pizzas and a selection of interesting entrees. The grilled lake perch was on the menu for all of our visits and it was actually very good, although I'm no sure that it came from nearby Lake Geneva. If you come during nice weather I would definitely recommend that you dine outside on the terrace, which is shaded by tall old trees and is quite nice. In cooler or rainy weather, the inside dining area is divided into the white-table cloth dining room and the wooden table café sides, both of which offer the same menu. One of the evenings that we were there with our two grandchildren we sat in the more casual café area and the service and food were as good as the night that we sat on the terrace - but sitting outside when possible is clearly the better option. This is not a "destination" restaurant, but if you are in the vicinity of Orbe I would certainly recommend it."

"A shame to receive customers like this. We came with a child and the owner dared to say that we would not have access to the terrace: that the children were inside! Yes, there were reservations and yes there was still a table of 2 available. It was close to 30° at the end of the day, which means we wanted to benefit from a terrace and the little evening breeze. Inside, the heat was stifling. It 's simply disgusting. Imagine that we didn 't stay, we preferred the restaurant Au Mai to Mex and we have absolutely no regrets, it 's an excellent establishment! "La cuisine de ce restaurant est délicieuse, la viande tendre, les pâtes maison succulentes et les pizzas très bonnes. Toutefois, le service du soir est toujours déplorable, les serveuses pas sympas, pas rapides et pas professionnelles. À plusieurs reprises, nous avons dû attendre 20 minutes pour pouvoir commander à boire avant le repas. La serveuse interpellée nous a rabroués vertement vu qu’il y avait 5 tables occupées dans tout le restaurant ! Avis au patron : s’il veut éviter de perdre trop de clients, qu’il passe le mot à son personnel en salle d’accélérer un peu le service et d’y ajouter un sourire"

"Mittagessen, Menu du Marché zu Fr. 55.-. Sehr feines Süppchen als amuse-bouche, ein top gelungenes Entrée mit Spargeln und Krebsen, sehr zartes Kalbfleisch als Hauptgang, interessante Beilagen, kräftiger Jus, feines Dessert. Schöne Weinkarte, aufmerksamer, freundlicher Service, ein perfektes Mittagessen auf hohem Niveau. Auch der einfache Tagesteller machte einen guten Eindruck."
