"After trips to France we're now in the mode of exploring residential areas outside the core tourist sectors of Paris. This time we took advantage of a package that placed us in the arrondissement. That would be about at o'clock if you...view the map of Paris as a clock. It's a marvelous area. Quieter, with Haussmanian architecture all around, but also some absolutely knockout modern high-rise buildings. Our hotel, Hotel Gaston, recommended this bistrot. We found it to be a fun, stylish, modern contrast to the traditional bistros of Paris. The interior is strikingly decorated in modern, with a fascinating array of mirrors and hanging lights that create an infinite array of framed reflections that reminded me of fine photography, focused upon the square, round and oval shapes of the various mirrors and the verticality of the lamps and the cords they hung by. The bar is full and ready for Apero and the lady bartender spent the evening moving musically and singing to the jazzy, soft sounds programmed to fill the space. but you really want to know about the food. Spectacular! Lovely spinach and roasted green, red and yellow peppers with feta cheese and delicious olive oil. Sort of a deconstructed, adapted Greek salad. Main courses...My lamb shank came in a bath of berbers-inspired sauce that was so rich I could taste the demi-glace goodness with its piment d'esplinette and light herbs adding a freshness. It's a lifetime memory akin to the best beef short ribs gravy. And, my wife's shrimp and coconut rice excelled. Our bottle of St. Estephe was grand with all of it. We did not order dessert. Recommended highly. Only locals while we were there, but they do say they have a few Americans now and then."

Quiet restaurant with a nice decor,No choice in the menu but very fine and delicious dishes. Nice and attentive server and little waiting yet but forgive when you are with your family.

I had a great evening in this restaurant, the meals were not booked, and yet the staff set out to receive us, serve us all together, and make sure that our meal is going well. meals succulent for a very correct price. My colleagues found very copyy and very good dishes. a redo !!!

The Manager waited on us, the Bistro had been recommended by The Hotel Gaston. The food was wonderful and the wine selection was super. What we enjoyed the most was the time the Manager took with us to explain and recommend dishes and wine. My...husband was ordering a cheese plate to begin and he said Wine First then enjoy dinner and if you are still hungry I will bring a Cheese plate for dessert, that worked out great we will always follow that advice!! Le Bistro was recommended to us by the desk person at the Hotel Gaston and we were given two cards that got us a free pre-dinner cocktail. Exactly what we needed after a long, frustrating day of travel. The menu was not overwhelming and...was certainly complete enough to satisfy us both. My wife started with the escargot while I had the beef carpaccio and wonderfully fresh salad. We both ordered wine by the glass as recommended by our waitperson and it was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so much so that we went back the next night. Highly recommended!

I have to say that after visiting Paris on numerouse occasions for both pleasure and business I have stumbled across this little GEM.. Spacious and relaxing atmosphere.. Upon arriving I was given a complimentary glass of wine (always goes down well).. Seating is comfortable and...you are able to sit outside if you so prefer.. staff are friendly, attentive and seem to be fluent in a number of languages which makes it so much easier when your not fluent in French, that being said they also have taken the time to have they're menu translated for the more challenged tourist like myself! For Starters I ordered the Soup! I know your probably thinking What a boring choice NOT SO I tell you NOT SO!!...
