"Jus in case you didn't understand the title, a pommier is a golden apple tree. At the last stop at the end of the No3 trolley bus in Gandol cross the road and you will find the restaurant. It is not pretentious but airy and attractive, it has a terrace on two sides.The Manager/Owner welcomes all guests and seats them, menus are brought by staff, aperos are quickly brought. The menus are extensive and as expected in an Italian restaurant there are two kitchens, the normal kitchen and a pizza kitchen. We were quite close to that kitchen and the Pizzas coming out looked good. The M/O came over he speaks Italian French and English, and described special dishes and wines and helped us make our choises. We started by sharing small shell fish which came from Italy it was accompanied by home made fries, then my wife had a steak which she pronounced excellent and I had deep fried squid which were most enjoyable. The wine was excellent too. Well fed, we walked across the road to find No3 bus which left almost at once and we were home in 15 mins!"

This is a very welcoming restaurant, owned and run by Mauro, a very affable and active gentleman.Pizzas are the main forte but pastas, steaks and other stuff is available too.The ice creams for dessert are delicious and the wine selection is reasonably varied.Prices are moderate and service is quick.

A pizzeria that doesn't cost much but here you have to book in advance you are served anti pastis to the eye you are received warmly and the meal was more than the expectation of a pizzeria for my part I had a prawn and lemon risotto, the fish, according to my neighbor, was superb and the homemade desserts were a treat, the coffee was accompanied by limoncello (lemon or melon or both) offered naturally, this is an address not to be missed. A big thank you to the entire team of Le Pommier restaurant

This is the best Italian restaurant in town! Food is delicious, full of flavour and taste, dishes are generous, bread is home-made, just like an Italian restaurant should be. The owner, Mauro, and all the waiters are very very friendly, the environment is pleasant, makes you feel like home. As a Brazilian, I am also glad that the place is noisy in a good sense, with families and kids having a good chat and fun - which is something I miss sometimes in quiet Geneva. If you need a very friendly and family environment to have good Italian food, there is nowhere else to go.
