"a pity because we had loved to make our canteen as we usually say with friends. but not, apart from the bistro spirit sought in the decor, we did not find the soul, the mind the quality of a bistroquet. in the view and I should have listened to the server this gloubi-bulga of tartare prepared, in fact did he not tell us that he himself did not take it at the resto and that say of the black forest not present in the list a I forgot, avoid the table next to the door because you will have the triple penalty, that of being ventilated to wish, percuted by the go and comes incessant and well on bad eating, despite our reservation is said passing by."

A warm and pleasant place where to taste a traditional homemade cuisine with good products. The service and the reception are at the rendezvous to spend a good time around a good meal for a good quality price.

This is the type of traditional restaurant that is harder and harder to find. In a formal but comfortable setting, one is warmly received and served well prepared dishes by a professional staff that it not even remotely stuffy. Sunday dinner (noon to 14:00) is a delight both for the meal and the surroundings. Visualizza piatti

An excellent address! To discover absolutely if you come to the center of Alès. We spent great moments there, the kitchen is generous, original and homemade, the service is extraordinarily friendly and friendly, all in an atypical setting! I strongly recommend (PS: if you have my hat, I will pick it up next spring. Thank you.

I loved, immediately arrived the order of the aperitif was taken. And for the meal, the time to finish the order the dishes were there. Quick, hearty, excellent and perfect desserts. Prices are really low compared to quality and service. Of course, it's a very good address to remember. Ps: it is best to book, it is proof of the reputation of the establishment.

"The restaurant looked full of happy diners always a good sign, so we were expecting a reasonable lunch. Maybe we arrived too late (12.45), maybe the chef was having an off day, maybe dealing with a couple of large groups proved too much for the kitchen, maybe we should have avoided the basic 3 course lunch for 15 Euro who knows, but for all the good trip adviser reviews, the lunch was disappointing. It started off well, with a salad for starter, either with goats cheese or quiche, although I 'm not convinced that slices of passion fruit and orange actually added much to it. Then the 2 large groups decided to leave and each individual paid separately. This took up the attention of the 2 people serving for a considerable time, and our second course appeared to have been forgotten. When it did arrive, the beef brochette, which actually was a tender piece of meat and tasty was served with burnt cubes of fried potato and a 'gloup ' of courgette. After this we gave up the will to live and just had ice cream as the dessert. I have now had so many poor experiences of eating in (basic) restaurants in France, that I 'm not going to bother anymore. I would rather go and get a decent bit of bread in the boulangerie and some pate in the boucherie than suffer the offerings of another poor restaurant meal. Long gone are the days when you could go in to an unassuming restaurant with formica tables and be served the quality of food that Elizabeth David described. Next time I think I will try the sushi chains that now seem to be opening over France."
