"After reading reviews, I thought I would give Ladies Who Lunch a try for a meal with my friends. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food was served cold and we had to send it back twice. The waitress apologized, but said there was nothing more they could do. We were so hungry that we ended up only eating half of our plates. They only took 10% off the bill. This will be my first and last visit. We decided to walk along the block and go to Wetherspoons instead, where the staff was very friendly. The prices were also cheaper, and the quality was much better. One word of advice: AVOID!"

We had a bar crawl planned in Edinburgh, but we cancelled it after having an amazing night at The Lioness. The drinks were incredible, the staff were extremely attentive and genuinely happy to serve us. I highly recommend this place!

The Lioness of Leith offers a wide selection of burgers on their menu, with several vegan options available. I particularly enjoyed The Temple burger, made with a cajun bean patty, but The Hippie with portobello mushroom was also delicious.

Visited for a burger and to catch up with family. Had burgers also good selection for vegetarians. Burger was ok, was surprised that had to order chips separately. Service was very attentive. Dog friendly. Glad we booked a table as very busy.

Burgers were dry. Hard to do when using thighs. Portions were decent. £85 for 3 chicken burgers and sides. 3 cocktails 1 of which was a mock tail for the kid. Plus 1 pint. cocktails were very poor for the price of them.. Don’t think we will be back.

This pub in the neighborhood is fantastic, offering a variety of gluten-free burger options. The quality of their buns can vary, with some days featuring delicious brioche buns and others featuring disappointing crumbly Tesco buns. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly.

This is a great bar with fast service. The prices for food are a bit high and burgers don't come with fries. I tried the Eros plate, which was spicy but very tasty! They offer a good variety of craft beers and cocktails. They also have coconut milk for coffee, but there is a 40p additional charge.

My group arrived at the restaurant without a reservation on a Friday at around 4:30pm and were able to get a table, but it was obvious that the restaurant is very popular. We tried the burgers, fries, and onion rings (which come in a large portion, more suitable for sharing as a side dish). The restaurant has a cool decor and the staff are friendly. We will definitely return the next time we visit Leith.

I apologize for the generic title, but as a carnivore, I have always been hesitant to try vegan food because I am not a fan of salads and worried about bland dishes. However, I recently had the most amazing burger of my life at this restaurant, which completely changed my mind. Even my vegan fiancé was impressed with the Temple Burger. The staff is friendly and the venue is uniquely decorated - our table was actually a converted pinball machine that still lights up. They were also very accommodating with my gluten-free needs. We will definitely be returning to this place. #Veganuary

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
