"Stumbled on this small place at the suggestion of the restaurant down the street, which sent us to L'oiseau Cabossé since the first place was booked. The "petite assiette" came with a colorful assortment of grated vegetables (carrots, beets, radishes on a bed of lettuce). The menu offers a selection of vegetable based "tartes" as well as a "plat du jour". I chose a tarte that featured "panais" (parsnips) and it was wonderful. C ordered a chèvre cake but they were out so she got the curried leek tarte instead. Our waiter came back to say that he had a small portion of the chèvre cake left, not enough for a regular serving, but would put it on the side if we wanted to try it. So, we sampled three of their tartes and found all to be excellent. My favorite was the parsnip. We also had two very good wines local wines, a red and a white, which were available by the glass or quarter liter. The price was very reasonable and the staff were charming."

My wife and I were staying in an apartment across the the street from L'oiseau Cabosse. It was always busy for breakfast and lunch. We stopped for lunch one day and it was excellent. Really good food, very reasonable price, and extremely friend staff. I highly recommend going.

I had a good lunch after picking this little restaurant at random. Had the plat du jour, spicy meatballs with rice in a tomato sauce, came with side salad and very good fresh bread. Almost all the seating is outside, on a very wide paved area in a quiet side street so plenty of room provided weather is good.

Visited for lunch after a long morning travelling to Bordeaux. Me and my partner both had the baked camembert, which was served with a basket of fresh bread and an attractive looking side salad. The wine was also superb, which of course would be expected in Bordeaux!Overall, would certainly recommend for a relaxing lunch in an attractive setting.
