"Whilst out sightseeing came across this restaurant. Welcomed in and the smell was delightful shown to a table and provided with English menus. Drinks and food order taken we all decided on pizza as the pizza oven tempted us. Food order was over 40 minutes whilst other diners who arrived after us were served before us. Just as I was about to say something having been engrossed in a conversation we were approached by a very pleasant man possibly the manager who apologised to us for the wait and promptly gave us our meals. Food looked superb and we were offered a complimentary drink as a further apology. Despite the wait I must say the pizza was the best I've tasted and the quality of the ingredients came through. Dessert we chose tiramisu and that did not disappoint either. Female waitress seemed off hand and only spoke to locals. However the male who served us was great."

I tried different pizzas in Schaffhausen. Definitely Mamma Rosa is the best one. Furthermore, service is really good.

I truly venerate that you can see the actual pizza production, Never was disappointed with the quality of food or service. Home made pastas are an absolute one to go!

Starters were fine, but the pasta was excellent. We shared the salmon Tagliatelle and it was delicious, house made fresh pasta in a rich sauce with lots of salmon. The white wine was also a perfect companion

We walked all around Schaffhausen and settled on this place. We were pleasantly surprised that the pizza was great and the old style interior made us feel warm and cosy. Despite other reviews, I saw a happy family.

I ave been many times to Mama Rosa. The food is simple but tastes great just like the Italian way. Service can be a little slow at busy times but the food is always worth the wait. The pizzas are fantastic and the main courses tasty and well cooked this place is unpretentious and excellent value.

I went to Mamma Rosa after having tried another pizzeria in town earlier in the week. Mamma Rosa did not live up to the reviews. The reception by the waitress was very average. Neither warmly welcoming nor rude. Just very middle of the tree. I had a Quattro Staggioni. It was burned and not especially tasty at all. The pizzaiolo generously gave me ONE black olive on the pizza.. I tried to spice it up with some chili oil. Mamma Rosa's take on chili oil is to mix ground sweet pepper and tomato into it, thus not making it spicy at all more like a salsa. 28.50 CHF for one pizza and one beer. The food isn't worth it. The service isn't either. And the nice ambience, whic IS very nice, does not make...
