"If they want a relaxed atmosphere without frills, primordial and rustic food without the urgent service of Gastro-Pubs, this was great! as the British pub is decimated and is transformed everywhere into gastro-Pubs, there are rarely many with good atmospheres. that doesn't seem to be anything but a marinabar. it serves simple rustic food and fish because it is near the sea. I had a pizza that was very nice and I know that they can get many kinds of beer and alcohol. I went to the hottest day of the year and sat outside, view over the marina! beautiful side. the atmosphere was friendly with a mix of people there harbour workers, local couples and people who had boats. the server and bar staff were friendly, warm and down on the earth without all the specifications of Gastro-Pub servers! I would definitely recommend going along the esplanade to this place after a day on the South Sea beach!"

Had a large family Christmas dinner here last week and was very impressed. Excellent service throughout the evening and very good food. Considering we were a party of 21 they went out of their way to ensure we had a great evening

Been to a few eateries in Pompey over the last 9 months and for my mate I the marina bar surpasses the overall experience of other places we’ve visited. Very tasty food, reasonably priced with caring service. No hesitation in recommending a visit to The Marina Bar!

DOG FRIENDLY!!! Went for a birthday family meal. Staff were great, the service couldn't be faulted. We booked prior, and they accommodated perfectly, even for a pooch! Great food at amazing value for money! Amazing selection of cakes too! At Eastney Marina, perfect for a Sunday Roast, or a coffee and cake after a walk!

Frankly disappointing. Last time I attended it was good. The last time I went, I had to wait over an hour for a salad and a sandwich, and when the food arrived, the salad smelled off and I had to get a refund. Some staff are rude and abrupt when answering questions, others are friendly and helpful. It's a shame because it's a nice place to relax by the water.
