The food was great but took a while to come good service we will return again good deals and menu choice I came with family and friends

Food from here is always lovely. Its known as giovannis now. The staff and friendly and can't do enough to help. Food very tasty and big portions.

The wife and I went early on a Friday teatime after work my first visit, and went for the 3 course specials and a bottle of house red came to a total of just over £40 we’ll worth it and good portion sizes will visit again Visualizza piatti

The family and I thought we would try this restaurant for its Sunday dinner and we weren’t disappointed good portions roast beef was lovely and tender and all for a very reasonable price. My only criticism was only two roasties

Martino's in Jarrow has become our fall back place to go as we always know we will get a great meal there. This time we went as our 5 year old chose it as his favourite place to eat. As always the food was great and the staff are fantastic. The only negative was the restaurant was rather chilly to the point where one of my boys put his coat back on.

I didn’t know what to expect when a friend suggested going to an Italians in Jarrow. Crikey what a great surprise. The restaurant is delightfully appointed with the most comfort table chairs. So comfortable that three hours seems to fly by. The three course menu for £12.95 was simply insane. Black pudding followed by chicken pancetta and no room for dessert. You can’t really complain about the value here and the food is tasty and plentiful for the price. However I was served by one waitress who didn’t seem to care at all. She completed no check backs and I had to ask her for more drinks whereupon fetching them she left our empty glasses on the table! I asked for the bill and she took so long we ended up going to the bar to pay. I know none of this is a shock horror never to return moment, but it is disappointing and unnecessary when in stark contrast I saw a waitress who was pregnant going out of her way to please her customers. Some consistency would be good.

Went for Sunday lunch, order at the bar and pay at the bar, young lad in front of me waiting patiently, member of staff asks who can I help next he asked to order meals and drinks, staff member turns round starts talking to other staff member and walks out the back, again she comes through and asks again can I help anyone, again the lad says loudly can I order food and drinks please, old lady behind me in the queue says I want a table for two and the staff member walks away yet again to seat the old lady with her husband, again returns to bar asking who can I help, the lad again asks to order food and drink and finally she asks him what can I get you to which I replied very loudly third time...

possibly the worst meal I have ever dined out too! Bearing in mind this meal was Friday evening, we should have noticed the very few people in there. Drinks, reasonably priced, but after 1 round, ran out of Fosters and John Smiths, waitress said no one there confident enough to change barrels over! Meal, starter of black pudding in pepper sauce sauce was like a beef gravy with extra beef extract) not very nice at all! Side of garlic bread, was partly undercooked and tasted very little of garlic, this is the first meal I have seen a full table leave garlic bread, part eaten. Mains, Fruit de la mar pasta, sauce again was awful, too thick felt as if I had to fight to eat it, in fact gave up bef... Visualizza piatti
