Awful experience, incompetent manager. No draught beers. Warm bottles of lager (only 2 choices) far too hot in restaurant. Reception area a mess. Food way overpriced for what it is. On the positive side, the food was decent and the decor of the place was appealing, but the service completely fell short. Everything had to be repeated multiple times, and it took an eternity for drinks to arrive. Each request seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff. Really lovely restaurant serving excellent, freshly cooked local food. I had the auld reekie mushrooms which were absolutely delicious, a burger which was faultless and the most luxuriant, smooth, rich chocolate ganache. What a beautiful and stylish restaurant! The decor is contemporary and charming, set in a lovely garden at the end of a small lane near the main road. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was simply excellent. The food was delicious from start to finish, especially the festive Turkish dinner, which was cooked to perfection — flavorful and beautifully presented. The desserts were equally outstanding, featuring a delightful chocolate torte and a decadent bourbon and caramel sticky toffee pudding. The bill was also impressive, offering amazing value for money.
