I just had a fish and chips meal, and it has to be the worst I've ever experienced. The fish was incredibly dry, as if it had been cooked hours ago. I can't believe I paid £16 for such poor quality. It might have been acceptable if it had been fresh, but I won't be returning. They've definitely lost my business.

Having used this shop for over 45 years I am utterly disgusted in what I have just been served. Portions are so small barely feed a child and the pies are dreadful, add to that now they say a minimum card spend of £20!!!. Safe to say you have lost a loyal customer I am absolutely disgusted. I had a terrible experience at this fish shop. The chips were hard and just the small ends, and the corned beef patty tasted like bland mashed potatoes. The sausage skin was so rubbery that I couldn't bite into it—it was the worst I've ever had. The two containers of curry I ordered were so tiny that I was shocked; I've never seen containers that small before. I spent nearly £12, and it all went straight in the bin. It felt like daylight robbery. I won't be returning.

In Sunderland, this shawarma restaurant stands out as one of the best spots for local cuisine. You might find the portions a bit smaller than expected, but the quality of the food more than compensates for it. The establishment itself may show signs of wear and tear, and the customer service could use a bit of a boost in terms of warmth and welcome. However, these minor drawbacks in no way diminish the fact that it's an excellent choice for a swift takeaway meal when you're in a hurry.

I have gone to shawarma grill everytime I've been in hospital... as a form of gift to myself, and trust me it really is a gift. I'm in there all the damn time and its AMAZING. The food is actually to die for. If I drove I'd go bankrupt due to being there for every meal of the year. Everything on the menu is delicious, so there's no fret if you're new to Arabic food, you'll get something you'll love. The staff are consistent and there's one guy in particular who always does my shawarma and he's the friendliest guy ever. Haven't had much experience with the rest but he's amazing, friendly as all hell and patient too. I'd recommend this to ANYONE and EVERYONE who are near this area to at least...
