"In contrast to some previous visits to other restaurants within this quality chain of steakhouses, our experience at the Newbury Park restaurant was incredibly disappointing. My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to the chateaubriand steak which is intended for sharing. When it arrived, we wondered why it was so small and didn’t look like the cut we were expecting. It would have been helpful if we’d been served with plates beforehand, as the steak was cooling off quite rapidly whilst we waited for the plates to arrive. This wasn’t a good start! As for the quality of the meat, it wasn’t the tender most cut we’d been looking forward to tucking into. It was rather chewy and considering the price very disappointing. Added to this was my frustration with the chips lukewarm and far from crispy on initial presentation, and when I complained and received another portion (or maybe this was the same portion, thrown back into the pan), the chips were indeed hot but somewhat burnt, so again, disappointingly below standard. We also noticed there was skimpy dressing on the iceberg wedge: rather mean! I didn’t think there’d be anything more to complain about, but the tea I ordered to round off the meal wasn’t that hot. Oh dear. Do we have any incentive to go back? Not to Newbury Park certainly!"

I don't usually leave reviews however my experience here recently is deserving of one. What an amazing experience! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, I wasn't entirely sure which steak to have but our host, Amanda, was able to help me choose with her in depth knowledge of the menu. I was able to enjoy a perfect fillet steak with her help. Everything ran smoothly, with very little wait between courses, and finished with a sublime sharing board for dessert. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Miller Carter, and Amanda, for making our special night even better. We will certainly return again.
