"We just had our second visit to The Crown while visiting family, and we can't find any faults with it. The room was clean and tidy, making it feel just like home. We even enjoyed complimentary clotted cream biscuits. The breakfast was delightful, with options for a cooked breakfast as well! We dined in the restaurant twice, and we loved the fish and chips, as well as the delicious Sunday roast. Don't miss the treacle pudding with clotted cream—it's a must-try! Although it’s a bit off the beaten path, it’s definitely worth it. The landlord is fantastic, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Be sure to try the cold river cider; it's incredible. "came here for a lunch / dinner on the other day unfortunately. place was relatiw busy, I don't really see how, unless it's just full of natives. it was a Sunday so that they had roasted dinner on the menu. I asked for a lasagne instead of a...Roast because it was on the menu. but the waitress was persevering that she had to check with the kitchen that she could cook a lasagne as his Sunday. Why do they give me a menu if they only make roasts? the cook suddenly forget how to cook the menu when it is a sunday? hahaha. honest. wow. I had my bliss. to be fair, it was a beautiful lasagne. can't blame it. credit of the cook (he remembered clearly how to cook a lasagne in the last mint. thanks to life saving. the waitresses were very snotty. I don't know why, but they didn't want to answer any questions or talk to us at all. I didn't really want to smile either. oh and it was the love one of the waitresses used, a good hour behind me and gave us that eye so that we leave our table. yes, if we repel ourselves from a table, is super-love from you. defined does not come back. unless they want to watch fun and be treated badly by servers that have a stick on the back."

"Super coffee shop for Lostwithiel. As an ex resident of Lostwithiel it's always nice to go back and see that's new; change for the best, or sometimes worse. Happy to say the opening of Q Street is a super positive change. Relaxed, nice atmosphere, friendly and customer focused staff member, and my iced coffee wasn't half bad either! Clean, well appointed, with the right mix of tables and a comfy sofa corner. The owners have done a great job putting it together. Snacks and sweets/savouries all looked very tempting. The mini macaroon with my coffee was a nice touch. Comes to something when the only (slight negative is the old school style price list signage, at odds with the chalk boards. (maybe a bit too retro for me! So really impossible to find a serious fault! Locals and visitors should patronise businesses like this. It's really tough out there, but Q Street deserves to succeed."

"Wow what a surprise this was! We live in St Austell but fancied trying somewhere different for dinner, the pub has a really nice traditional vibe to it, the staff are super helpful and the food is absolutely incredible, lots of gluten free options and some really nice specials, the tomato soup was easily the best I’ve ever had and my husband was very impressed with the burger. Plus it’s dog friendly! We will be back! Service: 5"

"Sorry to say, was disappointed with Sunday lunch today at the Earl of Chatham. Usually it’s very much like a home cooked roast. But today was not good. 1. It was cold, the cauliflower cheese was cold and the general gravy and meat was cold. 2. The pork was tough, or the knife was not sharp?!3. No crackling4. Usually the roast potatoes are perfect. But sadly, not great today. 5. Gravy was thin and tasteless. It’s a shame as we could always ensure a good roast at the Chattham!"
