What a lovely change to go to a traditional pub where you can have a simple drink and a sandwich, not something with added foam . Simple public house with excellent staff, well kept beer and a varied menu that was able to cater to those of us who are not after a full meal. Will certainly return

The guy on site here, who's also the Chef, was an absolute Legend, He met us on site, I'd previously arranged to carry out the service we provide for them.. He showed me the issues they were having, shortly after, i carried out our service, resolved any issues, all sorted.. unexpectedly in this amazing pub and felt back in the 16th century transported! beautiful atmosphere with the best waiting staff joe who waited tirelessly on tables with such a charm and real bubbliness for him. he made the experience there so much more unforgettable. eating was a great pub dug with a bit more finer than my usual going. exquisite. the cook said his desserts were good and I totally agree. good the time and the money worth! would definitely recommend and come back here.

Indulge me, for I must extol the virtues of my preferred haunt, presided over by the esteemed manager, Harry. With a staff as splendid as the décor and a libation selection to rival the finest establishments, it’s an experience not to be missed. The fare, while not without merit, pales in comparison to the ambiance. Yet, amidst the charm, one cannot ignore the occasional disruption caused by an elderly duo ensconced in the corner, their disapproving glances toward our furry friends and young patrons. Nonetheless, under Harry’s watchful eye, such trifles are but fleeting inconveniences.

We came here for Sunday Roast on 18 Feb as we really enjoy this superb oldie worldee pub which has so much character. The food was absolutely superb and just the right sized portions. The only thing I would say is three small roast potatoes is not quite enough but apart from that everything was just delicious and you have your own small pot of gravy as well. The service, staff and atmosphere is amazing and booking in advance is highly recommended. There is no parking assigned to this place but there is ample in and around the area so that wont be an issue. They have tables and seating out the front and a small courtyard out the back.
