"Visited with friends for an evening meal after hearing good reviews about the place. As usual I'll get the moans out of the way first, there are only 2 but unfortunately they are both about the meal.. I thought being an Italian restaurant having calamari would be a safe bet, wrong, it was so overcooked it was like chewing elastic bands. Mains, was a king prawn dish with pasta. It came with chips, unfortunately I was that hungry, I'd eaten half of it before I realised, the actual king prawn dish was lovely, but who has an Italian dish with chips? On the plus side, the place itself is nice, clean and comfortable, the staff and nice and friendly and the service was good, not having to wait long for your meal, there was also a good selection of wines available."

"Went here for the first time tonight with my partner, could not rate it higher. The food was incredible, every member of staff was on point and so friendly! All the other customers looked like they were having a great time, the atmosphere was incredible. Will definitely come back next time I'm in skeg! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20"

"We love going to Skeggy and always go to Mario’s on the last night. This has been happening for around 10 years so we were a bit shocked to hear it had changed hands, and name, but were hopeful that the food would still be as nice. Long story short, it isn’t. The chicken, was virtually inedible, clearly frozen rather than fresh, tough as old boots. my missus left all hers, but doesn’t like to complain, especially as some other people were complaining about something and we felt for the waitress who was very young, very friendly though which is always nice. I’ll keep my eye on the reviews and hopefully we’ll see an improvement so we can return. My missus says we’re not going back though, so we probably not lol. In all seriousness though, we’re pretty gutted to lose the best restaurant In Skegness."

"There are several Italian restaurants in this area and by looking at the pictures and driving past this one looked lovely. We booked and when we arrived the front of house gentleman was very polite and seated us straight down. I can only describe the restaurant as a little Aladdin’s cave it was beautifully decorated and to be able to watch the chief cook our food was the icing on the cake. We had previously looked at the menu online and when we got there there was an updated menu with one of the dishes we wanted not on it. We asked if it was still possible to order it and he said no problem. The food was amazing and the service was excellent with a very friendly atmosphere, the portions were extremely generous and was even given a doggy bag to take our left overs home. Will definitely be going back when here again."

"We were recommended the Coffee Bean by our holiday apartments and after a couple of days of below par coffees from various establishments we were pleased to get a lovely, quality, barista made coffee, at last. We visited for breakfast too, which we were initially disappointed with as we saw they only did a small breakfast rather than a hearty breakfast which we were looking for but we adapted, ordered extra toast and awaited our order. The coffees arrived soon after, along with chocolate chip cookies, the lovely waitress even brought over a plate of cookies for my daughter who had the kids meal. The breakfasts were really tasty, with a slice of bacon (the best I’d tasted all holiday), a sausage, fried egg and tomatoes (which could be substituted for beans). The toast was another highlight, thick, buttery, fresh toast, not quite doorsteps but substantial all the same. The children’s meal included a sandwich, with crusts cut off to the delight of our daughter, cucumber and carrot sticks and a tunnocks tea cake. Perfect."
