Ok apart from price of cider £5.15 cheaper to get a case from tesco

The Pizzas are the stars of the show here but I wanted a curry on this occasion. The curry was nothing special but I wasn’t expecting fireworks so it was fine. Pizza again next time.

I went to this restaurant for the first time today for breakfast with my husband. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food was amazing. I will definitely make a point of visiting again.

Stayed for one night and the room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the pub and we really enjoyed the food. Good quality. Overall it was excellent value for money and we will go there again.

Great pub right outside the station, perfect for a post-walk pint. Slightly oddly they weren't serving food when we got there at around 4 otherwise would have been a 5. They serve a variety of pints from what I presume is their own brewery which were nice and less than a fiver if I remember correctly.

Nice pint, a shame that the only outside area was on a busy road but there was a good atmosphere still and the traffic wasn’t too bad. Update: I’m reliably informed they have a lovely garden to the rear, I clearly need to do my research ha ha. Anyway, great pub. Will visit again and check out the beer garden.

Only visited the area twice and this pub both times. The cask ale was vinegar both times and had to be taken off. On this occasion, we stayed over. The room was lovely, comfortable and clean and we slept well. However, my main reason for the low rating was the rudeness of the bar woman. After a family crisis i returned to the pub at 9.30 pm and sat quietly looking at a book. She shouted from behind the bar Do you want a drink? So, I ordered one. To then be told it was last orders. At 9.45pm! Feeling very unwelcome, i went quietly to bed!

I went for lunch today and arrived just after 12. It wasn't too busy. We ordered food and waited quite a while, nearly an hour, for our starters. There was only one person serving tables in the large restaurant, and they were doing their best. After we finished our starters, we waited for our mains. It turns out we were supposed to go to the bar and let the staff know we were done, but we weren't aware of that. The mains arrived and they could have been better - the caesar salad had nearly pan-fried halloumi, the lettuce wasn't fresh, the dressing was warm, and the side order of onion rings cost 3.75 for only 5 rings.
