"Osteria offers an excellent selection of Italian/European classics with a bit of a twist and some innovation at times. Additional specialties are offered based on the season. The quality is always excellent. Even the steak we had last time was precision cooked and one of the best we have ever had. Above all, the service and overall atmosphere is excellent and almost not to be found anywhere else in Germany. Reservations are needed, sometimes even weeks in advance."

We needed a break and stopped for a bit and coffee. Be careful when you order pizza as one is enough for at least two people. The food was wonderful and the service excellent.

Probably best food in Kassel, which says more about the restaurants in Kassel than the food at Osteria. But it is a very nice and kindly place to eat, and the Italian food is ok tasteful. Great wine.

Excellent food and a pleasant surprise. Our favourites were the carpaccio of tuna and the tiramisu dessert. And DO allow yourself to be guided by the owner when choosing your wines from his wonderful selection.

The food is great. Staff very friendly and accommodating. There is a star trigger for the noise scene and the somewhat unstructured menu. I didn't realize what was the starters and the main course. I was also very surprised when the fishballs were served cold.

In/ near the centre of Kassel: This is my best choice. Very nice food, very nice hosts and service, nice place. My swordfish ceviche and rabbit dish were both excellent. The service, hospitality and wine suggestions was far above the other places i visited in Kassel. Highly recommended.
