"I organised a group of us from work to go along to Casa in Melksham based on a single recommendation from one of the team. Whilst they required for us to pay a deposit up front and pre-order this was totally understandable given the number of us. Having said that I was nervous as my only experience of Italian restaurants previously have been poor. The menu was varied and offered good descriptions for this of us like me who are not keen Italian restaurant goers. The food did not disappoint with everyone reporting the food to be excellent. The restaurant has accommodated is on one huge long table and we all had plenty of space. The servers were great and drink selection was good too. Overall, would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"beautiful stay in the sign of the angel at this weekend. bedroom and bathroom were full of character, tastefully decorated and well equipped with beautiful smelling care products, tea and coffee accessories and delicious homemade klappenjack. guests have a cozy living room where we were able to enjoy a celebrity bottle bubbly, we had waited in our room when we checked in. dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, great service and incredibly tasty eating (especially the pork bell! . it was also very reasonable price would highly recommend! we had breakfast before our departure, which was included in the room price. fruit, yogurt, müsli, juice, croissants and marmelade were offered on a table, while a good selection of hot items was available from a menu. again a great service and good food: many thanks to all for our weekend so fantastic!"

"Wonderful Sunday lunch. Three course meal for £25.99 each which is optional as you can have one or two courses as well. We had mushroom soup to start which was thick and creamy and delicious. We both had the roast beef which just melted in your mouth. All the potatoes and veg were served separately which I like and do at home. Wonderful Yorkshire pud which unlike some places wasn’t overdone and was just right. The roast potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. We had chocolate brownie with walnuts and apricot and syrup tarts. Both heavenly and beautiful presented. It was the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive but not overbearing and left ample room between courses. Highly recommend the Lamb on Strand. A warm and cosy country pub in a lovely setting."

"Fantastic, friendly, helpful staff. Food was absolutely delicious, we chose from the festive menu and it was brilliant. Piping hot food, good size portions and the brownie sundae was yummy, all enjoyed with a very nice bottle of Prosecco. The staff are to be commended for their friendly very cheerful manner throughout our visit, they ensured we were happy, but without being intrusive. 5* experience thank you."

"Original (3 stars): A family trip called for a visit to this pub I called ahead to check whether they served vegan options and they promised their three beans chili was 100% vegan! When there were some of the servers confused what vegans were, but the chef and two of the servers understood and I ended up with a beautiful vegan chili! It wasn't the best meal I ever had, but it was still good! It is nice to have a pub with a vegan option! Update (4 stars): Now when you go and mention Vegan they give you an allergen brochure and turn to a page called vegan, pretty much all employees are now formed on veganism. They offer many vegan wines as well as vegan chili, sizzling vegetables and others. Now a great choice! It doesn't have to go ahead."
