A happy, friendly welcome from the staff and manager. Clean tidy pub. Clean tidy room. Food good. Drink good. Staff good. And centrally located looking over the harbour.

busy pub in whitby.nice pub grub and sensibly priced.would eat here again .had pie and chips probably could do with a side salad or something ,just too lighten it up abit

Wonderful as always. The room was spotless and well-organized. The food was delicious and the drinks were just right. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The manager was also happy to engage in conversation.

Oh my god, if you’re in Whitby and enjoy some delicious, homemade pub grub… visit the Pier!! The chips are to die for, the onion rings were delicious and portion sizes just perfect. Staff were friendly too! Really really good food would visit again.

Cheap pub meal that left a lot to be desired. We should have been suspicious when every where else was full, but this place was nearly empty. Both my wife and I had funny tummies for a few hours, can’t be sure it was the steak pie! The staff were very nice and friendly.

The Pier Inn is a beautiful pub with delicious food, especially the fish cake. They have a good selection of gins and the bar staff was very helpful. The waiters were polite, professional, and charming. I had a really enjoyable evening at The Pier Inn and would definitely go back for more food and drinks.

"We visited a lovely pub in the center of Whitby. There were four of us and we stopped in for drinks. While the prices were a bit high, at over £17 for two beers, a glass of wine, and a cocktail, the atmosphere was pleasant and it wasn't too crowded. I noticed that they had a diverse menu selection and a daily special (although we did not eat there so I cannot comment on the food). Additionally, I observed that they are dog-friendly, allowing pets in the pub."

Lovely hotel and the rooms were nice and clean the staff were really helpful and friendly , lovely view of the harbour ,very nice breakfast it is very loud the music on sat night as it live band , but we excepted that as its a sat night in town centre bar so if you don’t like loud music it not for you on weekend but didn’t bother us and my little boy slept through it so wasn’t problem for us we be coming back next year we really enjoyed our stay thanks to all the staff there

Situated on the waterfront, the Pier Inn has spectacular views, which include Whitby Abbey. We were fortunate enough to be able to soak in the sun at an outside table on arrival with drinks, which was self-service. We decided to stay for lunch moved indoors. Menu options are average, with little option for vegan/gluten free again, you have to go to bar to order. It was busy when we were ordering our food at the bar, however, there didn't appear to be enough staff on. One guy behind the bar had to go ask a colleague to help him (the colleague was sitting at a table in clear view of the bar on a laptop), deliveries were being accepted at the same time there appeared to be only 1 girl serving t...
