"in the center of michaelstadt you will find this beautiful work building. it already exists since approx. 330 years and is still managed in family-owned as for many generations. the green tree was the 1 gas house outside the city walls, which had already closed hundreds of years ago, offered to the traveling food and logis. from the outside the gas house has a very inviting effect, which should continue in the inner. beside the various dining rooms with different capacities arched, dining room, foyer, festive room invites to stay a beautiful beer garden outside. there they sit between old sandstone walls, trees and plants on cozy furniture tents under shady white tents. we took in the interior of the local square, here received a tastefully decorated gastronomy, all color recording, fabric tablecloths, curtains, candles, fresh flowers etc. the wall remains, the wooden beams, the oil paintings on the wall additionally spread a pleasant kulinaric. regional and therefore with short cures are offered here, depending on the season milk and eggs from the farmer next door, odenwaldforellen, wild from the local jagd, fresh forest mushrooms, wild herbs, lamb from their own farm and cakes /desserts from their own terrace. in addition some vegetarian and vegan foods, as well as changing day dishes and a rustic vesper card. the selection was not easy for us, too much sound very tempting. we decided to: aperitif: strawberry many fresh strawberries in süffiger bowl in large glass swingers served very well wild forest master cooled and decorated with fresh forest master super tasty to main dish: lamb club from often with nuts schupfnudeln and fresh marketsaute the lamb was buttery and although there is something we eat very , we had no more capacity for reception, but it does not have to be visited by this. and if they don't want to make it home anymore, they will find cozy guest rooms in the historic betor."

"Wirklich tolles kleines Café/Restaurant. Wir waren hier mit einer kleinen Gruppe zum Brunch. Leider gab es draußen keine freien Tisch mehr, sodass wir im Innenbereich saßen. Dieser ist wirklich, wirklich schön und besonders. Eine interessante Mischung aus, 60er Jahre, modern und Hippie die wunderbar funktioniert. Das Essen war sehr lecker und mit Liebe zubereitet. Der Kaffee war auch top und der Service freundlich. Alles in allem wirklich ein hervorragender Brunch."

"in general is the first brewery of the odenwalde in the old town of michelstadt, at the historic rathaus, right behind the Protestant city church. ideal for parking is very close to the large parking lot for cars and recently also for living. surroundings from outside, through the large window front they have the copper needle boiler right in front of them. we were looking for a little in the gas garden on the headstone asphalt road. the biertic set for partly with rest back are well shielded, the apartment under free sky was therefore very pleasant. the gastgarten is a meeting point for old and young. Sociality is great. service they are flink and charmingly maintained. the service consists of a professional and dedicated team. there are no table divisions. everyone just does everything and it works smoothly. Drinks eat here you can enjoy freshly chopped housebow beer. there are home-brown, unfiltered beer, pilger feen, black beer, bright weizen and action beer. but also with you to take home in siphons and barrels. a sinful own tan. bierbrand specialties are offered from the noble bierdistillery. from the self you could grow well fed, but for the many delicacies from the kitchen it would be summer damage. therefore we have put a look into the menu and the vesper. they are pampered with odenwäldern. the regionality has the preference in this kitchen – originally good-bourgeois. everyone finds something delicious. we chose the coarse edible sausages with sour wort and brot 6,30 € and the vesper plate 7,90 € with blood sausage, mosquitoes, leberwurst, ham, cook cheese and house baked sunflower grain. everything was prepared with love and best quality. the freshly prepared lush home kitchen was perfect and well seasoned. in the odenwäldern-hausbrauerei are open to delightful and tasty beer and tor."

"Für mich einer der absolut besten Biergärten in Michelstadt/Umgebung. Das Essen ist einfach aber Spitze, verschiedene heisse Würste von sehr guter Qualität, frische Salate mit wunderbarem Dressing und verschiedene kalte Aufschnitte (Leber/Blutwurst, Speck, Salami) Der Kochkäse ist selbst gemacht und wirklich ein TRAUM, anders kann man es nicht sagen, dazu ein wirklich herrliches Brot. Ambiente ist super, man ist eingezäunt durch Büsche und Bäume, lediglich die Strasse nebenan ist zu hören wenn man im hinteren Teil sitzt, was man aber schnell ausblendet und auch nicht wirklich extrem ist. Inhaber und Bedienung sind super herzlich und es herrscht eine freundschaftlich/familiere Atmosphäre von welcher man schnell angesteckt wird. Wenn man in Michelstadt/Umgebung ist muss man Nicks Biergarten einfach besuchen, wers nicht tut ist selber schuld!"

"Meinen Bericht schreibe ich eine Woche vor Weihnachten 2016. Eine Puppenstube vor dem Erbacher Schloß, wahrlich. Draußen eisig und ungemütlich; drinnen sehr gemütlich, alles scheint im Original zu sein; durch die kleinen Fenster scheint die Umgebung wie auf Postkarten herein zu grüßen ! Hierzu paßt eines der Biere vom Faß, es gibt auch Saisonbiere - lecker ! Wenn die denn regelgerecht gekühlt wären - nein, sie kamen viel zu warm auf den Tisch. Leider wurde die eigene (Haus-) Brauerei übernommen - daher gibt es kein eigenes Bier in der Tradition der Mikrobrauerei mehr. Wer solches sucht, muß in Michelstadt gleich nebenan einkehren. Die Speisen: der Jahreszeit entsprechend wählten wir Gänsekeule resp. Wildschwein-Maronen-Fleischkäse mit Beilagen. Insgesamt 4-, denn beide Gerichte kamen sehr "dunkel" auf den Tisch, also fast verbrannt. Das sollte wohl die reichliche, braune Soße verdecken (dieselbe für beide Gerichte). Die Reklamation dieses Sachverhalts motivierte den Service nicht, sich zu entschuldigen oder gar etwas als Wiedergutmachung "auf's Haus" anzubieten.Am Nachbartisch wurde (in etwa) Steak mit Pommes Frites bestellt. Dies scheint die Küche besser zu "können", was sich aus den Kommentaren dieser Gäste ergab. Unterm Strich: sehr romantische Lage. Im Sommer durch die große Außenterrasse sicher ebenfalls eine Adresse."
