"I always say: location is everything except in internet trading. The Taormina has nothing like that. A city-struggle-spot was created in front of the medieval Schwabentor with the eastern route of the city centre in the form of the four-lane castle mountain ring and the railway line 1 towards Littenweiler (SC Stadium). The ring divides here and a triangle of oblique concrete is flushed around all sides with the car and tram traffic. Mittendrin: The Taormina, one of the oldest and smallest pizzerias in Freiburg. No parking, no free space, no natural light in the restaurant. Right in front of the door, the tram will thunder in the five-minute cycle, behind the car traffic on two tracks. Only a small iron railing protects the few passers-by, but also prevents potential guests from entering the street spontaneously. It's logically dark. use the short walk outside the old town for cheap eating and very friendly service. pizzas were good with thin and very tasty bases as well as a decent amount of topping.

we are regular for the moving pizza from here it is almost too good as it discourages us from cooking when we feel lazy. faster and friendly service and the best pizza we had so far in freiburg.

we went and had a pizza pork. the pizza was very tasty, even the carving good. not suitable for wheelchair or if they are crutched (the stairs to the toilet are steep, and also in the restaurant there are for steps).

Pizzas mediocre definitely better options out there. Gnocchi was a microwaved yellowy Orange gloopy dish! Not appetising. Wine advertised by glass described as frascati tasted like generic german. Service was pleasant but would not return!

We are from Italy and we can say that this is a good place. Everything was alright. We also had a pizza and lasagne (minestrone was good too). Bread is served as small soft rolls made of pizza dough, very good (hot from oven). Prices...are also ok. We just had to wait a little bit to order and to have the food, but I will go back.

It's so gloomy and grumpy in it and you have to try the train or bike because they don't have parking spaces. But the food became the bank so far away, always delicious! The fresh Tiramisu on the boards was really fresh and self-made and no comparison to the often finished I already in some Resto. The price-performance ratio is also true.
