Lovely little pub with covid rules in place. Seating outside and table service... Friendly staff who know their regulars. Really good little place

We stopped here after a very emotionally demanding day. As strangers we were made welocme by bar staff and local people. The beer was excellent and the coffee similar. we did not eat but given the right timing we would definitely revisit

Welcoming atmosphere, decent pork roast and great service, flexible booking given we had to change our time. locals in the bar were clearly relishing the Sunday afternoon as they should do a positive experience and what country pubs should be like

Great friendly pub, food is a good standard and the chef knows how to cook a steak. Be wary of the friendly ghost and Nikki the maddest barmaid I’ve ever met lol, see you again soon when we racing at Dalton Barracks later in June. Make sure the Guinness and Ale Pie is back on special

This place is amazing. The people, the food the venue. Nikki was an amazing host and the team from the carchase heroes(next door) were fantastic!!! Great atmosphere and made me and my gd feel welcome!! Would defo recommend a visit. (Not to be mistaken with prince of Wales didcot) 11/10

Lovely little village pub with good outside seating. It's fairly old school and traditional which I love. Very friendly lady served me which pleases me as too many pubs these days seem to have over worked, underpaid and stressed out staff. I was on a bike ride so perfect stop off point. Top packet of pork scratchings and pint you can't go wrong by popping in here. Food served Thursday to Sunday.

My friends and I have visited this pub many times and enjoyed the food and ambience. We particularly like the Sunday lunches nothing fancy or pretentious, just good roast dinners. A decent wine list, too not too much choice and good pricing. However, we called in a few weeks ago and were told that the landlord has now left, so we don't know who now runs it and whether foof standards (Food Hygiene rating 5) will be maintained.

We 've eaten here before and the food choices were quite good, the menu was comprehensive and offered a few welcomed vegetarian dishes. The staff were all really nice and welcoming. we booked a table and returned expecting to see the same or similar offerings but there weren 't any menus? The only selection was on a blackboard inside the pub itself, not one single vegetarian option, not even a starter. We asked why and the (nice landlord) told us they had a new 'chef ' and they weren 't serving vegetarian food anymore. I thought 'chef ' meant the ability to create food with some flair and offer maybe something out of the ordinary. This 'chef ' was nothing more than a fry cook with chips for...
