"Eclectic definitely describes this restaurant. Food is delicious. They put a huge effort into flavor combinations and unusual plating. Even able to accommodate Laktose free without hassle. The salad with salmon yum, beetroot lasagna delicious, surf and turf Devine, though pasta a bit bland and lacking substance. Sadly it took 3hours to be served a three course meal which is not acceptable when you have young kids and first people in the restaurant. Also children’s meals were way over seasoned, I don’t know many children who like heavily salt and peppered Schnitzel or vegetables covered in herbs (and my kids like vegetables). They enjoyed the homemade icecream Sunday’s, the highlight for them."

"My opinion concerns the restaurant, having not been to the hotel. The restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have visited, and not just because of the (excellent) quality of the food, but the whole experience. It was one of those restaurant dinners we had in the old days, which are becoming increasingly rare these days. An impeccable team (a big thank you to the entire staff team for the great time) extremely kind, a boss attentive to the smallest details and of course, succulent dishes."

"Very nice mountain hut that really does justice to its charm. Today we visited the Schäfeestube again for a long time after we were thrilled the last time we visited. I can say the enthusiasm continues. Great service from the boss herself. Extremely warm and charming. The food is varied, fresh and simply great. The wine was a Heida from Diroso, a recommendation from the boss, a little dream. We are thrilled and would love to come back. Hello Jean-Claude and family"

"Wir waren zu fünft. Die Cesarsalat- Variationen waren allesamt lachhaft mikrig, und entsprechen keinesfalls den Angaben der Karte. Preis-Leistung miserabel! Die Hauptmahlzeiten wurden mit bis zu 10 Min. Differenz serviert. Das Personal ist für den Umgang mit Wein nicht geschult. Die nicht geeigneten Rotweingläser wurden fast bis zum Rand gefüllt. Die Serviceleistungen verschiedener Personen waren allgemein schlecht. Das Mistkratzerli war nur einseitig angebraten. Gute Gastronomie sieht anders aus."

"This was our 3rd time visiting this restaurant. 3 of us arrived and asked the waitress if it was possible to add 2 chairs in 15 minutes because 2 friends were going to arrive. Question to which the waitress answered yes. When the 2 people arrived the boss came running exclaiming to the whole terrace that he was the boss and that he decided the locations. Indeed, the sympathy of this gentleman has no longer been proven over the years and he well deserves the term barn door as they say in French-speaking Switzerland, a region he is so fond of (irony). We knowingly come to this restaurant because we have already noticed how dishonest the owner is. We come for the food which is very good and the waitresses who keep smiling despite the owner's primitive welcome. Questioning is not his strong suit given the repetitive and distressing comments about him."
