enjoyed a very nice barbecue dinner here while we stayed at the hotel. We loved the staff, and the food was incredible!

This was the restaurant for our hotel (The Burgblick) and was a great experience. Theb advice on the choice of wines was very knowlegeable and sound.

Without a doubt the best food I’ve had in germany so far. We had the salmon tartare for starters and the fried pike-perch as the main course, ending with a chocolate soufflé and a crème brûlée. Everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Even the wine pairing was spot on. Highly recommended!

Restaurant inside hotel Burgblick in a former butchery. Limited menu choice which is geared towards the size of the restaurant and kitchen. The meat is excellent and they have a nice choice of wines. We tried the Spätburgunder from Regnery and can recommend it. As resident of the hotel we also received a voucher for a free after or pre-dinner drink. Good service be it a little slow but we had the evening in front of us....

Visited this somewhat hidden away restaurant with a group of 7 friends -and we are so happy we went there! Walking into the back alley we loved the atmosphere right away. Nicely decorated and their food and wine followed up. All at good prices, particularly the wine. Good quality at a good price -what more to ask for? We were staying at the Hotel Burgblick during our first visit to Bernkastel-Kues, and this restaurant is part of their hotel do we decided to give it a go based on the reviews here. We are so glad we did. This was our best evening meal of our entire stay.Friendly service and great food & wines.I had the stewed ox cheek with Gräwes and salad, while my wife had the Goat Cheese Salad. Both were outstanding. My husband and I stayed in the Burgblick Hotel for 3 nights and Ochs is the restaurant attached to the hotel. Out of the 3 nights we were there, this was by far our favourite meal. The restaurant isn't big, it used to be the slaughter house at one time so it's decorated to reflect this and I liked that you could see partially into the kitchen, I always like when I can see what is happening in the kitchen. Their food and wine selection was wonderful! My husband had the stewed ox cheek and it was so flavourful, the meat was so tender it just fell apart. I had the goat's cheese salad and it was amazing!! I actually asked the owner if there was any way they could deliver this salad to me weekly....

We had dinner on 28/05 at Restaurant Ochs. The food was ok, but the service was unfortunately awful. We got our main courses (ox cheeks and pork tomahawk), but the glasses of wine arrived 20 minutes later and only after telling the waiters (2 young ladies) that the food was half-way eaten and almost cold. We asked to speak to the manager, but we were told that he was not here, in the best case we could find him on Monday evening (so in 2 days). Even though initially we planned to order desert too, we gave up and both of us (me and my wife) asked for the check. Again the 2 waiters disappeared.
