"We are fairly frequent visitors to Basel in order to visit our daughter, who has lived and worked in this lovely city for about 6 years. After a long delay due to COVID, we have returned this week to celebrate her 30th birthday. We always...stay at the Les Troia Rois, which is always top flight, and is again. We also always have at least one dinner meal each visit at Cheval Blanc and the magic of Peter Knogl. We had a magnificent dinner for four last night, topped by the saddle of venison (mousse line of celery and sauce rouennaise), sea bass with chorizo and cucumber, and lagoustine and in a light curry and green apple sauce with paired wines. It was a fabulous celebration of our daughter’s birthday and Peter Knogl’s “greatest joy [in] pampering our guests with a cuisine full of color, shape and sunshine.” Such an incredible four hour extravaganza is not cheap, but one doesn’t often find restaurants with 3 Michelin stars and 19 GaultMillau points that are not worth the cost. Cheval Blanc is a relatively small restaurant but gorgeous in decor and a priceless Rhine River view. The service is spectacular, good humored, but serious in its quest for excellence and guest comfort and information. A special ending is a humidor of choice, and immensely fine Swiss chocolates."

"Wir waren an einem Freitag zum Mittagessen im E-Jona und bekamen sehr gutes Essen mit einem frischen guten gemischten Salat und dann mit einem sehr schön gebratenen Zanderfilet mit Zucchini Tagliatelle an einer guten Weisswein- Petersilie Sauce ! Dann auch noch ein Espresso oder Affocado mit dem Schwarzwälder Dessert war alles super ! Vielen Dank"

"I visited the restaurant on my lunch break. There was a great lunch offer for just under CHF 20. This included the selected main menu, which was no smaller than the standard menu on the menu, and an appetizer of your choice, which was, however, reduced in size, e.g. an spring roll or a small bowl of soup. But it was far enough and everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. I'll definitely come back."

"Durante il soggiorno in hotel nelle vicinanze siamo andati a cena nel ristorante dell'hotel "Axion" per tre serate conseguenti venerdì - domenica. Ho letto una delle recensioni che hanno messo in discussione l'autenticità del cibo greco offerto in questo ristorante. Non sono pronto a discutere, ... anche se ho appena trascorso due settimane in Grecia e non ho trovato la differenza drammatica tra ciò che ho mangiato a Corfù e qui. Abbiamo apprezzato il posto non solo per l'eccellente, a mio parere, cibo e servizi, ma anche a causa dell'atmosfera generale in questo ristorante. È abbastanza grande, soprattutto per il villaggio dove si trova e non è al crocevia dei principali percorsi turistici. Ma il venerdì e il sabato è stato pieno di clienti. È ovvio che il ristorante è molto popolare tra la popolazione locale è certamente la migliore raccomandazione: c'erano famiglie con bambini piccoli, gruppi di amici o colleghi, coppie di età diversa. Il posto era piuttosto rumoroso, ma "ha creato" l'atmosfera dove tutti sembravano quelli che hanno apprezzato la serata. Se rimani negli hotel nelle vicinanze, consiglio vivamente di non perdere l'opportunità di cenare o pranzo in questo ristorante. Sono sicuro che non ti pentirai"

"I was finally able to stay overnight at the Krafft which I've heard so much about! It was a wonderful experience all around, from the reception at the reception to the stylishly furnished room with the handwritten welcome card, the aperitif in the Consum Bar and the breakfast with the homemade Birchermüesli and the freshly cut fruit salad. What impressed me most was the cheerful and warm team; all the employees I interacted with were super motivated and friendly. I'm really looking forward to my next stay!"
