Amazing best fish and chips I’ve had from a takeaway and they are gluten free! I am gluten free and this was incredible. I got the large fish and chips for £12 and I’d recommend them to anyone. Decent price for what they are the portion size and the staff were really nice. The area is also lovely, and there are lots of ducks where you can buy bird seed for £1 in the takeaway shop, and feed them! I loved it. As for the food, the crispy cod was great—though I should clarify that it was the cod that was crispy, not the chips. The smashed peas were also enjoyable. I ordered a large cod, but to my surprise, it wasn't really large at all, while my wife’s small cod ended up being bigger than mine. On a positive note, they offer North Street Cider, and the service was efficient, though not very friendly—just seemed like staff were going through the motions, which is a bit of a disappointment these days. We plan to return, but next time, we won’t bother booking a table and will take our chances.
