"This charming little restaurant served some very comforting, simple dishes. We started with a carafe of house wine, which was great. The shrimp risotto was creamy and cheesy, with neatly arranged shrimp. There was a good amount of lemon zest all throughout the dish. I guess the acid was meant to break up some of the heaviness of the dish. The pizza comes in thick or thin. We weren 't quite sure what that meant, since the pizzas all look pretty much the same. Our server was very nice and explained that it is the crust that is thick or thin. When we asked which he recommended, he replied, I like it thick. So of course we went with his recommendation and ordered a thick crust margherita pizza. So the pizza arrived and the edges of the crust were thick and pillowy, while the center of the pizza was still very thin. It held the tomato sauce very well. There was a smattering of basil leaves, interspersed with some thick pieces of mozzarella. The pizza was delicious, and tastes great with a drizzle of their olive oil. The risotto was nice, but nothing too exciting. I 'm glad we tried a restaurant a little bit away from the center of Florence and found a gem off the beaten path."

Great restaurant with excellent food. Darling out stay in florence a friend of mine reccomended it and he was absolutely right. Great food, wine, and really nice waiters (one of them also speaks English).

First night in Florence, googled where to eat locally and this popped up. Glad it did... Excellent food at reasonable prices, fantastic service. Actually... The best Pizza I've had in Italy so far and we've eaten everywhere except Napoli. Enjoy :

La migliore pizza di Firenze! Non importa dove ti trovi, trovano sempre il tempo per servire il tuo cibo. Questo ristorante è a conduzione familiare e arredato con cura. Il personale è veloce e cordiale. La pizza, dalla crosta al formaggio, dalla salsa ai condimenti, è la migliore in Italia. Attivi dal 1973, offrono un'esperienza ristorante italiana davvero eccellente. I vini della casa abbinati alla marinara, margarita, bufala, diavola e pfefferoni sono le migliori pizze, ma anche le altre sono molto popolari e deliziose.

Mio marito ed io siamo capitati in questo ristorante una sera dopo essere arrivati a Firenze, dopo Santa Lucia. Il personale era molto cordiale e ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Era un posto accogliente, e ci siamo divertiti a vedere come le persone continuassero a venire e salutare i dipendenti. Abbiamo ordinato ravioli al sugo di carne e una pizza con prosciutto, peperoni rossi e mozzarella. Dopo 10 giorni in Italia, tra Roma, Firenze e Venezia, questo è stato il nostro pasto preferito. Volevamo tornare prima di lasciare la città.
