Went there on Saturday night for a birthday meal. 12 people in our party. The service was appalling. The drinks were half served with members of the party waiting 20 minutes. They forgot two starters and the service in general was terrible. The food was no more than average . Will not be going back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £60–70

I had a disappointing experience with the service at this restaurant. They added an extra meal to the bill that I didn't order and charged me for olives that I never asked for. The staff were extremely rude. It's a shame because the food was amazing! Just be cautious when you go, as they may try to sneak extra charges onto your bill. For vegetarians: the options were only average. I would somewhat recommend the vegetarian offerings, which are clearly labeled on the menu.

Been here a couple of times and definitely my favourite place to eat out in Maldon. Food is so flavourful, especially the kebabs with the smokey charcoal taste. Service is amazing and you feel really valued as a customer even when they are busy. If you live further out, it's definitely worth the journey. Excellent food, generous portions and very nice staff. Definitely recommended. Parking: Plenty of car parking off the high street. Nearest place to park is the Friary Meadows car park which is accessed via white horse lane or butt lane car park behind the rose and crown. £2.20 for 3 hours, card payment or app to make payment.
