"This is a lovely quaint restaurant in a pretty residential area of Heidelberg. Our hotel was about minutes walk away so I called to check if I could reserve a table. The response I got was a short and not so sweet “not a...chance” and the phone was hung up. However having eaten here during previous visits we decided to persevere and walked in on spec. The restaurant was very busy in fairness but we were seated pretty quickly. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly. The menu is limited but the food was very good, especially the schnitzel. Definitely worth a visit for good homely food. Perfect on a cold winter’s night."

this restaurant was just a short walk from our hotel and was great. it was quite full, but we were warmly welcomed and led to a table. equipped with English menus. most main dishes were presented as bratkartoffeln with .... others dingen on the menu. .
