Sciue Sciue Fritto, Pizza Vegano

Came here with my boyfriend. I had a pizza with vegan cheese sausage, he had a fried pizza (which turned out to be a deep fried calzone) with real ham and cheese. We both enjoyed our food and the vegan cannoli we split afterwards. Seems like a real mom and pop place, owners were super nice. Tons of vegan options.

My daughter, her friend and I loved this spot near Santa Croce. A lunch special of pizza, drink (I had a good house wine), and caffé was very inexpensive. I think the ladies had big salads. The elderly proprietor 's service was friendly accommodating. Vegan and non-vegan menu items. This place is welcoming and AUTHENTIC, right down to the mismatched chairs. Scuié scuié, we learned, is means easy-peasy in Neapolitan dialect.

The food was excellent (best calzone I ever ate If you look for a truely typical italian experience with traditional food, you must go to sciuè sciuè ! The place is quiet and bright, service is great. We were warmly welcomed. Also, for vegan and vegetarian, many choices are available. Mio fratello è vegano e ha cercato questo posto meraviglioso per noi. Siamo venuti qui per un pranzo tardo e c'era solo un altro tavolo occupato. La proprietaria Mama lavorava sia come cuoca che come cameriera, ma il servizio è stato ottimo. Abbiamo ordinato tutti una pizza e abbiamo condiviso tutto. Mio fratello era entusiasta di avere così tante opzioni vegane. È stata davvero una grande scoperta per noi e siamo tutti usciti sazi.

Dopo una lunga giornata di tour in città, questo posto era esattamente quello che ci serviva. Era come mangiare la cucina della nonna tranne vegan! Aveva la ricotta vegana, la mozzarella, e la pizza salame e ha iniziato con la polenta fritta, che era meravigliosa stessa ma anche venuto con pasta fritta che era buono come qualsiasi io abbia mai avuto. E 'anche situato proprio accanto alla chiesa di Santa Croce (dove Michelangelo e Dante sono sepolti) e un meraviglioso mercato di Natale (se siete lì durante le vacanze).

Questo è un ottimo posto per delizioso cibo vegano in un'atmosfera rilassata. Siamo venuti qui un venerdì sera per cena e siamo stati prontamente seduti dal simpatico proprietario che parlava inglese. Non lo diresti dall'esterno, ma hanno un vasto menu vegano. Abbiamo iniziato con un piatto vegano di carne e formaggio che era incredibile. Poi abbiamo mangiato lasagne vegane e un altro piatto di pasta agli spinaci davvero delizioso. Entrambi erano incredibili e tra i migliori che abbiamo mangiato in tutta l'Italia. Non è elegante, ma questo era parte del suo fascino. La coppia che gestisce il locale è adorabile. Il cibo aveva un sapore casalingo e torneremo sicuramente!

It is classical pizzeria. Something between fast food and restaurant. They offer all kind of food, but on the menu there are also vegan dishes with soy instead of meat. I decided to try vegan lasagna with green salad. Firstly I got a salad that did not looked as fresh as it should. Lasagna was on the other hand perfect. The restaurant had only one employee at the time of my visit that also was a cook. The lady who served me did not speak well English but we found an agreement quite fast. It looks as typical charming Italian family owned restaurant, located off the main road but still in the city center. I gave 4 points rating only due to not so fresh salad. Myself and my boyfriend went here, excited to try the vegan pizza options. We got the vegan cheese board to start with, and it was soooo good! The salami was really well spiced, and the cheeses had a bunch of different flavors and textures. I even found one of them too “cheesey”. He got the vegan calzone and and it was great, but my stuffed cannelloni was the winner. It was perfectly cooked and the cheese was really creamy. The only thing that stops me from giving 5 stars is the desserts. We got the Sacher torte and cannoli. We tried to go on a monday evening but arrived to find it closed, but we tried again the next day and what a treat it was. We were greeted so warmly by the owner who immediately asked if anyone was vegan and told us that his daughter was. I searched out this place on Happy Cow because it gets amazing reviews, deservedly so. I had a delicious vegan pizza with homemade cheese and sausage, all of which are made by a vegan chef so he knows what he 's doing. He even makes their desserts. The chocolate cake was lovely.
