"being a vegetarian I thought I should finally try seitan….or satanand it was such a weird texture and taste, I don’t think I liked the gravy though either, lovely staff though at the The Seven Stars on ship street though and really good value for money, my roast was £12.50 and my partners rump of beef was £13.50 and we had cauliflower cheese on the side for £3 but the cauliflower cheese was hard and tasteless tbh….great portion sizes but actually the food wasn’t hot either, maybe that didn’t help….mixed opinions tbh!"

I spent 15-20 minutes at the bar trying to order a drink, but the bartenders served their friends instead. I ended up waiting for a long time, gave up, and eventually left.

Wandered down into Brighton South Lanes looking for a fun, relaxed venue with a broad age range, music and room to dance a little bit on a Saturday night.. thought Seven Stars might be a good 'launch point ' expecting to try a few places tbh... stayed there the whole evening and Seven Stars ticked all the boxes! Great night!!

came in for a few drinks here. large selection of beer, standard prices for centrally brighton in these days. it is a beautiful pub, beautiful mood and many sitting things. the staff is very friendly and attentive. on Friday night when we were pure, I had a dj. food reasonably priced and good quality. my standard pen in brighton.

Sunday lunch. So disappointed. Had the nut roast. Looked like someone had piled a shovel full of mud on my plate! Looked awful , tasted worse! Potatoes over cooked and hard , one bit of broccoli and one parsnip! Thick dark gravy.. all unappealing inedible. All 3 of us left most of it. Certainly not worth the money at £15 not cheap.also had to pay before food arrived.. realise why …

What can I say. I came to Seven Stars last week when it was an extremely busy Saturday night. Staff were all running around working super hard, and the atmosphere was unmatched. There was a great selection of gins, and all staff had great knowledge of all spirts. Want to say a massive shout out to all the team and DJ who made my Saturday night so amazing. Will definitely be returning soon.

Always a great vibe here at my local the Seven Stars! Staff super friendly, great selection of gins and mixers, friday and saturday nights are very very lively compared to weekdays with a DJ everyone dancing! Bouncers are friendly too Also must recommend the fries, absolutely perfect! My girlfriend had the beef burger and it looked delicious! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice cosy spot away from the crazy lanes or the beach

Sunday Roast very poor. Served on a cold plate, not much gravy. Potatoes needed cooking a bit more for softness. Yorkshire Pudding was served cold, lots of people had left theirs too, No Wonder!! Management need to be served such a plate of food? Not worth £15.00!! No Ambiance whatsoever. Mis Mash of seats tables. Seats too low arranged to a table too high. Who's idea's are these for suitable customer comfort? Will give this a wide berth!!
