The service was attentive and quick. I ordered a regular americano, but it resembled more of a weak filter coffee. However, I was mainly impressed by the vast selection of plants available at competitive prices. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit.

I recently stopped by Simpson's Nurseries Coffee Shop and, although the staff weren't the most welcoming, the food more than made up for it! My breakfast was cooked to perfection and I must say, it was definitely worth the trip. Just avoid engaging in conversation with the staff - that might be a misstep!

We used to love Simpsons but we found today it has gone downhill. Staff in coffee shop ok but food was not as good as it was, had something floating in my tea so had to ask for a new cup and also door to tent area left open and was a massive draft so again had to ask the staff to close the door! The nursery was not much better, staff not helpful at all, can't be bothered, I'm afraid I won't be returning, time to find a new nursery to get good food and plants Visualizza piatti

There were many employees standing around idle, chatting with each other. Despite ordering simple cheese sandwiches that required no cooking time, there was a significant delay in receiving our food. The restaurant was not crowded at the time. The dishes were dirty and had to be exchanged for clean ones. It was difficult to get the attention of the staff, who seemed preoccupied with chatting amongst themselves. It's unfortunate, as the food is typically of good quality.

Had I read the reviews going back to 2023 for this place we most definitely would not have visited for lunch. We visited on 26th March 2024. I had ham , egg and chips with salad and my wife had the Caesar salad. These were followed by an apple pie and a lemon meringue. All were very good and we were served by pleasant and helpful staff. We didn't have to wait too long, considering they were very busy and it is obviously popular. We would happily return if we are in that area again. It is also an excellent garden centre with, mostly, very good quality plants. I am a keen gardener, once worked at a garden centre and recognise good quality when I see it.

Met a friend for a late breakfast, greeted by a pleasant enough lady blond hair and glasses)who advised that no sausages available, fair enough but makes a mockery of the rather authoritarian instruction on the menu that no alterations can be made to the set breakfast choice.
