Stage Door Steakhouse

We stumbled upon this charming (humble) restaurant. I believe when we visited Wimbledon last year, we walked right by it, but I'm grateful that we decided to try it this year. The service was excellent, and the Greek food was delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced.

The decoration and music may be a bit outdated, but adding some Greek elements could enhance the atmosphere. However, the food was delicious and well-prepared, with generous portions that left us satisfied. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and were willing to accommodate any requests.

Wonderful food. Lovely tasting souvlaki and the best rice I have eaten. My hubby had the fillet steak, I had a try and it was soft and very tender. Wonderful staff , a family run business I think. Disappointed, we use to go to the stage door 20 plus years ago when the elderly couple owner the restaurant and it was beautiful, we have very good memories of the service snd food. Last night the food was disappointing, the sauté potato’s were greasy and my husband T- bone streak that he requested medium well was very rare. The service was slow.

I recently discovered this amazing restaurant and I am thrilled about it! The owner, Zacharias, is dedicated to ensuring that all patrons have a satisfying experience. I cannot recommend their lamb kleftiko enough! Even the simple things like bread are top-notch and reasonably priced. I am already planning my next visit because I was so impressed.

a wimbledon precious stone hidden in the open. a fantastic experience and probably one of the best places to have a steak. boiled to perfection with amazing grill smoke and amazing sauces to go with it. my wife had lamb and it was tender and had a deep of taste and aroma. a beautiful family farm in the heart of wimbledon, which we will definitely visit again. This family-owned restaurant has been a hidden gem in Wimbledon for years and deserves more recognition. My wife and I hadn't visited in a while, but we were quickly reminded of how great it is. The atmosphere is calm and soothing, with comfortable seating and subtle background music. The dolmades were tasty, my wife enjoyed the halloumi, which is always a safe bet but was delicious nonetheless. The Kleftiko and moussaka were both delightful. We can't vouch for the steaks, but if they're as good as the Greek dishes, they're definitely worth trying. We will definitely be returning.

I was happy to see that this restaurant is still thriving. It has been open since the 1980s and is a family-run Greek restaurant conveniently located near the theater. It is very popular in the evenings and on weekends. This was my third time dining here. If you enjoy steak, this place offers a reasonable selection, especially when paired with a sauce. The second time I visited, I tried the pork and it was equally delicious. The desserts mainly consist of ice cream but are just as good. The salad could use a bit more olive oil, but overall I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. Thank you for a lovely lunch, three times over.

Have to honestly say this was a fantastic evening. From the moment we set foot into the restaurant, the mode and setting was absolutely perfect! Had four wonderful starters which we couldn’t find any fault, followed by one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! My wife had the most ‘juiciest’ grilled chicken. You can tell this restaurant is packing some amazing family secrets to their customer’s tables by the great flavours served up! To end the night was served an amazing slice of chocolate cake and my wife a slice of American style cheesecake, to note after questioning we discovered both was freshly home made!
