The small road up to Partnun never seems to end, but it is so beautiful so it doesn't matter. We are welcomed by the owner and food is waiting for us in the cosy restaurant. Everybody is friendly and smiling and the surroundings, high up in the Alps include magnificent walks. Back in the little berghaus you can have a drink and watch the alps and listen to the clocks from the cows, or have a bath in the outdoor tub before dinner.

Ate dinner and breakfast here while staying overnight as we hiked the Via Alpina red trail. Dinner was the same for all of us paying for 'half pension. ' It was excellent, and we were given plenty (family style, at a shared table with other guests). First a mixed salad. Then the entree: a HUGE pork chop, with sauce, potatoes and bread. Dessert had berries, ice cream, sauce and whipped cream. The dining room is very traditional and pleasant. The server was superb.
