"This is by far the best Japanese restaurant in the whole community of Madrid. Run by the Japanese artist Yamaoka, who is equally creative in the kitchen. This place is an absolute gem and with travelling to. The tartar of tuna with avocado was delicious and fresh, the seaweed and prawn salad exquisite. Tempura was crispy, fresh and delightful. The salmon and tuna sushi perfect! Then there is dessert, don't miss the green tea cake with ice cream, it's a dream. The interior of the restaurant is all decorated by works of art by Yamaoka himself. In summer you can enjoy dining in the garden, which is a delight. This place is just... Wow!!"

I had not been to Yamaoka in a long time and it’s nice to see they still got it. We had the Yamaoka Menu which has a sample of some of it’s best dishes, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The aguacate Yamaoka deserves special mention as well as the green tea ice cream, which is packed with flavour and delicious. Well worth a visit.
