"we have been for over 10 years clients of the tarleton tandoori and it regrets that I must leave such a negative assessment. we ordered a take-a-way with a few crooks and sides we're familiar with for a long time. they were of the worst quality and. the taste we've ever seen from this Indian take-a-way. both the lamb and the chicken were hard to cut with a knife and literally gum-like in the mouth. the reis was costed by a cheap sort and by wobbles. there was hardly any flavor in the dressed to give them taste and taste. I know we're on a lockdown, but for the facility to significantly increase their prices and then to approve the courts, is also out of line. this device will not survive long if it continues to go away. tarleton tandoori is now good and really from our lists."

We have never had a poor meal from here. Good food, friendly staff, just one star deducted as they only take payment in cash.

This Indian takeaway is so good! One of my favourites is Chicken or lamb Saagwala, but if there is a poor dish in their menu, we haven't found it yet. Order with confidence!

Excellent food and service . Just people parking in the front of the shop when we are supposed to social distancing. They should have a sign up telling people of the car park right across the road.

Have eaten here for many years and thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes I’ve tried. The only problem has been the chapati’s going crispy on the odd occasion. It’s interesting to see the chefs at work and watch your meal being prepared. Visualizza piatti

After we heard mixed reviews, we were ready to try anyway, and we are pleasantly enthusiastic. spicy, well cooked and good mix of ingredients all prepared in an open kitchen that is amazing for a takeaway. good balti area and both the woman needs I loved...es

Decided to try this place as was recommended by others, asked for one dish as vegetarian when ordering but delivered as normal chicken, very good portion sizes but the taste was very bland and not great will stick to where we normally go. Food was...ready on time and friendly staff but not much more to say than that!

"ok… I have deliberated whether to write this as don’t like to be negative but I think this place can take it so here goes… My husband booked a meal as a Christmas pressie this as I have always wanted to go to a michelin star restaurant and this is quite local to us. We arrived at The Barn which is quite basic in appearance as the downstairs looks like several saunas due to the amount of wood on show. Upstairs was nice and attractive. The staff are efficient but the whole set up is bit ‘cold’ and unfriendly. The staff were not particularly engaged; maybe this is how they were trained to be? The food consisted of amuse bouche which tbh didn’t really taste of much and this was a theme for the whole menu unfortunately. The homemade bread was delicious but the other offerings were tasteless and needed seasoning. -trout mousse in a lemon broth, including pips, was tasteless and the mussel mousse on pikelet didn’t taste of mussels. anyhow on to the main event-we ordered partridge -chewy and tasteless, the cured sea bream not seasoned sufficiently. The meals looked delicious-style over taste? Then the mains-my deer was tender and delicious but the sauces didn’t taste of much-I had to check the menu to see what they were meant to be. My husband ordered the steak-now at £62 this should have been SOME steak- what a shame it wasn’t -it was just a sirloin, bit chewy, not that great. Deffo not worth £62 of taste! It wasn’t caramelised on the outside and abit sinewy. The bone marrow bearnaise sauce was tasty though. Now I like cooking, I like food , I cook fresh meals every night but I’m not a chef. My first experience of food at this level… I will stick to local restaurants WITHOUT michelin stars at a fraction of the price -tbh I prefer my own home cooked meals! Is this a case of the emperors new clothes? Do people just think it’s good because they are told by someone else it’s fantastic? I’m disappointed in the experience at The Barn. Bit of a wash out and I will be asking for a meal at Bistro Verite in Birkdale next Christmas probs at a fraction of the price!"
