"Superb!! We visited with family to celebrate a big birthday and a silver wedding anniversary. We arrived and were seated promptly, where we found birthday and anniversary cards waiting for us on the table, which was a nice touch. All the staff were polite and knowledgeable with regards to the menu and were able to answer any questions relating to it. We all chose the roast, the food was outstanding, fresh, piping hot and the presentation was lovely. Everyone cleared their plates! We then ordered desserts and again, we couldn’t fault anything we ordered. We finished up with coffees all round, and everyone on our table complimented the coffees, they were piping hot, smooth and creamy. Sometimes the coffees at restaurants can be bitter and lukewarm, I’d go again just for the coffee tbh!! It was a very busy service and despite this, the staff remained efficient, unflustered and helpful throughout. It’s clear that the standard of service is not compromised and all staff could work well under pressure. Even when a group of customers arrived but hadn’t booked, the member of staff who spoke to them was so informative, polite, and although apologised explaining that they didn’t have space for them on this occasion as they hadn’t booked, he took the time to chat with them and recommended other local places that they could try for a ‘walk in’ meal. So much more personal, than a, “sorry we’re full, you need to book” response! I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant, but would suggest you book if it’s at the weekend. Well done to all the service staff, chefs, bar staff, managers etc etc, this was 10/10 from the moment we arrived until the moment we left! It’s so refreshing to visit somewhere that genuinely cares about the customer experience! Thank you for helping to end our special celebratory weekend on such a high and positive experience!"

"I will never return to this restaurant! I strongly advise against visiting. The food lacked any flavor and, to make matters worse, I found a hair in my dish. When I brought this to the manager's attention, he became defensive and placed the blame on us. His rudeness and complete lack of customer service skills were astonishing. A group of nine of us had traveled 25 minutes based on positive reviews, but we were met with utter disappointment."

"I love coming here to eat drink as the food is lovely and atmosphere is always nice. However on this particular occasion, I ordered food and drinks for myself and Daughter, only for it to be served to us in a takeaway bag even though I had booked a table. Was quite embarrassing sitting there eating out of Brown Paper wrapping whilst others were eating off lovely White Ceramic plates. To be fair, the lovely lady who served us did ask if we wanted it to be put on plates but we declined as the damage was already done. I asked for a discount which was blatantly refused so it kinda left a bad taste and my daughter was not a very happy little girl which kinda upset me. Would I return? Most definitely but will ensure our food served correctly. Vegetarian options: Lots of Veggie options. Parking: There are a few spaces outside but get taken up quite quickly. You can park around the Corner on paid parking bays. Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids"

"This will be the fourth visit this year, having regularly eaten here for over 30 years, the standards maintained have been excellent, the food and service is usually outstanding and this time was no different. Have tried much on the menu (all of which has been top quality) and nowadays settle on a king prawn balti with naan bread washed down with a Cobra. A restaurant maintaining this level of food and service for decades is extraordinary, long may it continue. Parking: There is limited parking along the high street outside the restaurant and by the traffic lights to the left off the high street, spaces are most easily available early in the evenings. "I had a lunchtime meal yesterday 15th November. I was very disappointed. The service was very slow. The waitress not happy. I had ordered the salad and requested no bread but could I have the ham and cheese instead. Previously this was provided and I was happy. This time the salad was not as good and the cheese delivered in a mini ramekin, one you would use for sauce. Very dissaponted. Meal type: Lunch"
