"Six of us went for lunch today(6th March) I every one of us were so impressed with not only a beautiful pub full of character and charm, but all the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and as regards to the food, it was plentiful, beautifully presented and of high quality with plenty of fresh vegetables. The starter of scallops which my partner and I had were delicious and the roast pork was sensational and the Eton Mess was truly lovely. I’m not surprised that you have to book up well in advance and cannot recommend it highly enough, and we shall definitely be returning.Whoever manages this establishment has got it absolutely right. Thank you for a most enjoyable experience."

The restaurant is located in a fantastic building with a cozy fireplace. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. My family will definitely continue our tradition of meeting there for our pre-Christmas get-together.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Sussex! The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. The portions are generous and perfect for those with a hearty appetite. The dishes are cooked by someone who clearly knows what they're doing. Overall, a must-try for any outdoor enthusiast.

While driving by, we saw an advertisement for paella and decided to stop. However, we were informed that it needed to be booked in advance, which is understandable for fresh food. Instead, we tried the fish and chips and smoked haddock, which were excellent. The service was lovely and the portions were generous. We plan on returning to try the paella next time. 18 of us sat until the most perfect 3 curs Christmas dinner we wished. the personal, service food was excellent. eat as much as they wanted, extras the whole round, if necessary. Also the best home made christmas pudding I have ever tasted. I can recommend alfold barn very much, for a small family dinner or a huge meeting, they will not be disappointed. I'm sure we weren't.
