"First time here drove past and looked nice from the outside the pub itself was clean ordered x2 fish and chips with mint peas arrived in good time no complaints the peas where garden peas that had been mixed in mint sauce very strange and far too strong and overpowering the fish was bad no taste and batter also not good chips where ok coke from the tap had no flavour replaced and not much better the second time around desert was ok though i opted for the bread and butter pudding fingers whilst eating staff at bar had a food delivery arrive which seems odd to me when they have a kitchen in the pub atmosphere was ok could do with some louder music although it was amusing overhearing the table next to us talking about her life to her friend overal the food let it down for the price i perhaps expected a little more not somewhere i would return when other better places are nearby"

I came in to try the new menu and it did not disappoint! I have always loved this pub and the staff here. Chloe should be proud of the pub she is running!

I always enjoy a tasty meal at this restaurant, and the owners and staff are consistently friendly. It's a great spot for a casual drink outdoors or a full dining experience. I'm excited to try their breakfast soon, as it seems to be both delicious and reasonably priced.

Poor customer service and not brilliant food. Waitress did not check if we were happy with our Sunday lunch. There was a dog in next table to us and when the customers left the waitress put the dog bowl full of water on the table and left it there for the next customers who had a dog.

The staff at this restaurant is fantastic, the food and drinks are wonderful, and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly. There are also plenty of options for dogs, which every pub should have! The location is perfect for walks or cycling, so be sure to include this pub in your next outing. Many thanks to Chloe, Matt, and their team - I will definitely be returning soon!

Stopped here for lunch on the way to the football and really glad I did. I mentioned to the very tentative manager that I was celiac and I was presented with a Gluten Free menu and talked through the options from the main menu. Great selection of food and drinks and would definitely stop by again on my way to watching the mighty Cherries getting smashed by the Seagulls

Pub states very dog friendly but I think otherwise as the waitress appeared nervous of my dog which made my dog act out as she sensed the nervous energy from the woman. Other people served us with no issues and other customers walking past my dog was calm and collected like normal in this situation. My advise, employe staff more dog savvy or don’t state your as dog friendly as your not. Won’t be returning with or without dogs

My wife treated me to lunch as it was my birthday, you have to find a table then order your drink and meal at the bar, I did not find this to bad. But I thought the service very poor. They do not ask you whether you want another drink, clear away promptly and then order your sweet and drink at the bar. Or even ask how the meal is, we had lamb rump fine for me but tough for my wife. Will I go again yes but not for awile. Food good but service needs adjusting.

"Whilst wondering this lovely little town, we wondered what we should grab to eat. We thought we would play it safe by going to a non-commercial but traditional Italian restaurant. However, whilst the menu may feel like you’re sitting in Italy, there is nothing safe...about the quality of this food! I should first of all acknowledge just how receptive and warming they were to the fact that we had two infants who were part of our party. They did everything they can to make sure that they were smiling as much as we were, and able to squeeze in our buggy and luggage accordingly. The food though was absolutely delicious. The folded garlic and cheese balls to start were absolutely delicious, and oozing of salty chewiness. However both of the monk fish main courses that came out were absolutely outstanding, with very fleshy and generously portion size pieces of fish. The veal Milanese was perfectly crispy and moist in the middle. The infant size pizza was generous portion size. All of it was cooked fresh and served warm. The only thing which frustrated me was the lack of wine options that you can order by the glass. I do understand why restaurants don’t make all of their wines available, but as the only one drinking I would have liked more than just a Pino for white wine options. But this isn’t a restaurant for alcohol, this is a restaurant for well cooked food for all occasions. If I am in the area again I would easily eat here"
