The Ash Pub - Menu

Attractive pub/restaurant in the Essex countryside which provides a sizeable menu and excellent drinks options. Service was warm and friendly, thank you Laura, and the portions were more than decent and very tasty.

Friendly greeting, stayed Sunday night before Monday morning flight. Food was very good and reasonably priced, rooms comfortable. Left car here whilst away, was covered in bird mess when we got back so best try and avoid parking under the trees.

very traditional pub. the staff is excellent, especially laura it is an excellent barmaid and it maintains the customers. without her, it wouldn't be the same. the renter and the renter are true to the erdvolk. defiant a stay worth when they fly early from stansted

This is a very pretty country pub. Food great with a delicious range of dishes on the menu. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. I love that there is a sports bar, children have a play area in the garden and there is a...restaurant. Come and enjoy the lovely countryside with a business that only enhances the experience.

The service was absolutely second to none!! All staff working there were fantastic and so helpful!!Tracey, Paul and Jane could not have been any more accommodating and friendly! We had missed our flight and arrived late, staff could not have been anymore helpful! The bar...and barn are beautiful and so rustic! Could not recommend this place enough, I would definitely travel to visit again!!

loves this country pub. fantastic staff. fantastic eating. beautiful for a Sunday roast. so comfortable for the airport and comfortable accommodation I can recommend eating and drinking. good menu and a free choice of beer and wine. owners are fun and always helpful these spills... about helpful and efficient employees. I think how beautiful the marquee would come together for a big family. playground for children win.

Went in for Saturday lunch. I think the restaurant was busy but we sat in the bar. Excellent good value for money cheese ploughman’s and a really nice pint of Guinness. The only downside was the seating. Would have stayed for more drinks, but the...designated not drinking driver found the chair so uncomfortable, we decided to leave. Before we left, noticed the guy on the next table tucking into a huge gammon steak which looked really good.

we would never have come over this place if we hadn't knocked him first. it was very quiet when we came in, but every reflection on the quality of the place was soon quadrupled when we seasoned a delicious meal and. were served in a huge yorkshire pudding. the service was great, the price was reasonable and the portions were good. so good that I could not manage dessert (and I wanted to try the apple crumb when we are ever in the opposite again, we will definitely visit again.

We stayed in the Ash Barn Annex in October for one night before a flight next day . The food in the pub was ok , however the room we were given was awful , room . The convection heater on the wall did...not work , there was a small fan heater so we used that but it was still cold in there . There was just a sheet on top of the mattress no protector and there was something that looked like blood on the mattress . The bed was uncomfortable and creeky . There was a rusty toilet brush in the bathroom and the mirror had splash marks on it . The kettle had old water in it and loads of lime scale . We left our car in the pub car park for a week while we were on holiday , this was fine . It’s a sham...
