The pub serves delicious, homemade meals that stand out from the typical mass-produced food found in many other pubs. All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and highly recommend trying the waffles, which were exceptional.

never open !! Front door was open as they we checking in some guests so I tried to get served, how hard would it have been to serve one person with one drink whilst the barman manager is standing behind the bar checking guests in do they want to make a living, ? Service: 1 Location: 1

Room nice enough, but very warm. *STRONG SMELL OF SEWERAGE FROM BATHROOM WAS SICKENING ALL NIGHT, Got worse as it got warmer and after using shower. *Carpets were damp all over as if they had been cleaned but not dried yet. The Bell Inn is an attractive building suited in a convenient location close to Newmarket. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal and the staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the rest of our stay was very disappointing; There was no breakfast available this was not made clear to us when booking. There was no check out we were told to leave our key in the door of our room. The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard and the toilet was soiled under the seat. There was no hot water and we therefore had to have cold showers in the morning, For the price of £140 this was not good value.

Rooms are small, just about fit a bed in, claustrophobic, couldn't swing a cat in it. It gets hot way too quick, although there is a fan provided makes loud noise because the room is so small. Middle of the night woke up to an awful smell of sewage (checked if if was pipe, it wasnt) and in the morning there was noone about to raise the issues. Restaurant was nice enough Ruby the waitress is a little gem. There was a lady walking round with a dog giving orders out to staff quiet abruptly ....... service although was slow myself and the husband didn't mind. Because of the size of rooms and the smell of sewage unfortunately we wouldn't return nor recommend. Rooms: 1 Service: 3 Location: 4

My family and I visited your pub and left feeling very uncomfortable. The way that management speak to their staff is appalling, there wasn’t just one occasion where it was in our ear shot but three, shouting at your staff even behind a closed door is unacceptable and the sheer rudeness was very unsettling for us to here, it got to the point where I was worried about the bar staffs mental health whilst working in this establishment. The food was okay but even if it was amazing I would not give my money to a business that treats their staff so poorly.
