"I went to a birthday party at this restaurant. The food was tasty, although the specials were not listed on their website and I never received a reply to my email. I ordered the meat platter for two, but it was really only enough for one person. The service was good, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The atmosphere was also nice, with a rating of 5. A small eatery located in Edwinstowe , very different to what we are used to but a very pleasant experience. Tapas style dishes are served, freshly made and delivered to the table very hot. "We were warmly welcomed into this beautifully decorated old inn and immediately knew we had chosen the right place. The menu and food were exceptional, making our birthday celebration for the three of us extra special. The staff and family owners were attentive and made sure we had a great experience. The venue was cozy and comfortable, with tasteful furnishings and clean facilities. Despite arriving early for our reservation, we were greeted warmly. We traveled far for this dining experience and were happy to have made reservations in advance. We will definitely return and highly recommend this wonderful family-owned restaurant."

"We booked for us to stay on September. We had booked a number of weeks in advance. There was significant noise outside the room which impinged on a restful night. I think my wife said someone called to say the festival was on but that...was days before our stay and the likelihood of alternative accomodation was low. The second issue was breakfast. We booked for knowing it was checkout. Our order was taken and my wifes breakfast arrived. Mine did not and I had to ask where it was. I was told it was given to someone else and therefore had to be remade. My wife had finished her food and I waited. She went back as we knew it was a checkout and we wanted to try and meet this. As my breakfast didnt arrive until minutes after I arrived) I got back to the room and a cleaner just walked in and started cleaning whilst I was still removing my items. He did not even say anything and ignored me as I tried to access my items This was far from ideal given the delay was not my fault. I was rushed and had no time to even use the bathroom to freshen up. I messaged the venue and was ignored with my issues."

"We were staying at a B&B nearby and decided to take a pleasant walk to the pub. We received a very friendly welcome and enjoyed some good conversation with the landlord and regulars. The food was excellent. We started with brie in a light batter and mushrooms with garlic mayo. The main courses were absolutely fantastic. The plaice with prawns and watercress sauce was delicious. The fish platter, with seven different types of fish including prawns, calamari, whitebait, swordfish, salmon, haddock, and bass, was one of the best we have ever had. The portions were generous and the quality was top-notch. We wish we lived in Norwell so we could visit this pub for meals and drinks more often!"

"I’ve just realised I’ve been visiting The Beck for over 20 years now for both drinks and meals with friends and family and I’ve never written a review! The Beck for me is home from home and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve visited. They say a business is only as good as it’s staff, and maybe this is why The Beck has lasted so long with a reputation for a relaxed atmosphere good food and good service. The staff here are friendly, caring and professional, I’ve never been anywhere where I felt so at home as The Beck. Edward, Julie, Theresa, Kieran and not forgetting Trish in the kitchen make the place what it is! In 20 years I’ve never had a bad meal here, the food is excellent, and today did not disappoint. I was treating my parents and wife to a belated Mother’s Day and Dad’s birthday meal out, I had the lamb roast which was sublime and my dad had the blade of beef which in his words was “melt in your mouth” good! My Wife had a chilli and my Mum had the flat bread, which were also very nice and portions are plentiful. My daughter has Dairy and Soya allergies and wanted sausages and mash however the mash had butter in it so they made it with chips instead, she also cleared her plate! If you want to go somewhere with a nice warm friendly atmosphere and excellent food at very reasonable prices then The Beck is definitely worth a visit."
