"This is a delightful pub off the main drag of Braunton that serves great Indian food. We visited on a busy Thursday evening. Service was a bit slow but that was probably because the kitchen may have been overwhelmed. The waiting staff and owner were all very attentive and friendly. The starters were great and very generous so make sure you leave room for the main course. The main courses are served in a novel way with the curry served on the dinner plate you'll eat from instead of from a serving bowl. This is a shame as it discourages people to share and taste each others food. Apart from that I would recommend this place if you want a reasonably priced and tasty curry when you are in the area."

Lovely little pub and great service. Made a special Sunday veggie roast plate for me and my friends really enjoyed the pork and crackling.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere for a cosy drink. Didn't eat but menu looked great and food coming out matched that. Only downside was not much space for drinkers if they'd like a seat but definitely worth going

it was really great to go to the black horse today as it is a pub that I use to go weekly. eating is wonderful and the whole experience is not too short. a wonderful pub to go and it is set in the old part of brownton xx

great small local pub. the employees are inexpensive, very cheap prices on drinks, with some beautiful ales on the barrel. curry night is a must! the Indian food served here is simply amazing! I had never had such delicious Indian food from a pub. As it turns out, the chef is an Indian local cook a storm of amazing authentic dishes. 10/10 would recommend this place.

about this place mute, which was from our holiday accommodation on the road. When I first took a drink, I found out they made a £10, curry and a pint night. beautiful that we did it when it was excellent. beautiful, helpful and attentive staff and eating was excellent. a little wait, but since we were a party of 8 that all ordered something else, we have nothing against it and it was worth it. we all enjoyed our meals and gave an applause to the chef when he was finished in the kitchen. we would recommend ourselves and would certainly go back when we visited brownton again.
