The best Sunday lunch we've had in ages . Epic yorkshire puds , lots of fresh veg , followed by a huge crumble and custard. Great service very friendly and efficient .

I know I know I’m still banging on about it but my local is the BEST incredible food every time, excellent service, just amazing …. This kids first choice of a meal over any takeaway so even our girls day out shopping had to finish at the Bowling Green

Lovely tapas menu and food excellent. Unfortunately the landlord was not attentive to his clientele. Too busy watching U tube or something. After asking politely to lower the volume on the background music,I heard him say to the waitress cos they 're old .I am not that old or deaf.The loud music was intrusive .We really enjoyed the food but will not be returning Visualizza piatti

After parking in the spacious rear car park, I entered the venue, and was warmly welcomed by a staff member, and enquired if food was being served. I was presented with a very extensive menu, and made my choices, plus a blackcurrant cordial drink. The food was tasty and well-presented. There was a slight delay before my dessert was served, which was also very good. Overall I enjoyed the dining experience, and am planning to return and try some of the Italian Tapas items.

Had a recommend so we booked for Sunday lunch . Great food, starters bruschetta , meat balls , dough balls all large portions and well presented . Mains of pizza , lasagne and Sunday roast beef . The beef was cooked pink , biggest ever Yorkshire pud, roast and mash , side dishes cauliflower cheese, peas, carrots and cabbage , lots of gravy , what a plateful for under £15 . Service from the young team was excellent , nothing was any trouble . Deffo one of the best Sunday Roasts we have had , we will be back

After dining out for numerous years (perhaps too many), we can confidently say that this is the best Sunday lunch we have ever experienced! The food was hot, delicious, and cooked to perfection, with Yorkshire puddings that were truly outstanding. We have visited this restaurant several times, including on Christmas Eve in 2023, and the food continues to impress us each time. The atmosphere is lovely, always buzzing with activity but never overwhelming. The staff are friendly and create a welcoming and relaxed environment. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! I had heard great things about the Sunday roasts at this restaurant, so I decided to go with three friends today. And wow, it exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, we all had a combination of lamb and beef which was tender and juicy. The gravy, roast potatoes, and cauliflower cheese were excellent, as were the accompanying vegetables. We enjoyed the meal so much that we ate too quickly to even take a picture. Making the reservation was also a pleasant experience, thanks to Kerry who was very helpful and friendly. I couldn't recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon.

What a delightful find! We decided to celebrate as a family and had a fantastic experience. The service from the moment we walked in was outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy and well taken care of. The food was top-notch, with not a single complaint from any of us in a large group - a rare occurrence! The menu offers a variety of options, including Tapas and main dishes. We were really disappointed with our experience. We had been looking forward to trying the Bowling Green for quite some time. We booked at table for 6.30. A lovely young man came and took our food and drinks order. The wait for the food was quite long, but that wasn't really the issue. We would have at least expected to get the drinks brought over. After a lengthy wait, we flagged down a different waitress and chased the drinks. The food was brought over, but still no drinks. The food itself was lovely, huge portions and clearly well made.
