Had an excellent three course meal here midweek. The price was so low I thought I had gone back in time about years. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. I was surprised there were so few people there.

we were here a few times for drinks, but this was our first meal here and it will not be our last. this is our new favorite and we will eat regularly here. we had a three course. all courses were presented very well. we were blown away from the steak. must be the best rib eyes we had. the personal was attentive and friendly. the bar had a nice atmosphere. I am very happy to come back very soon.

we were next to the separately owned airbnb and went to dinner for two nights. the service was beautiful, made us such a boom. eating was really well cooked and very inexpensive pub food. they even gave us a night long dessert because we were too full and looked too good. the bar area is obviously very popular among the natives who reminded us of our pub home and was a beautiful atmosphere to foot.

Friendly pub BUT stars for the simple reason, everyone was crammed in . Decor needs looking at, the interior looks sooo tired and dated that it makes it look grubby sadly. Food was OK, but slightly cold and seeing the chefs squeeze their way...through the busy bar with trays of food was kind of off putting as at one stage the Cauliflower cheese was almost knocked out of his hands. Won't return sorry based on the these facts, however I do wish you the best of luck as I know how hard it is in this industry!!!

Visited times in the past weeks, first time was a Sunday and the carvery was beautiful, looked amazing and tasted even better, after the great experience we had my family and I thought we would try there courses for we were...not disappointed, the product you recieve for low amount of money is mind blowing. We could not fault the staff on any day we visited very polite and attentive. Highly recommend visiting this small little pub that are doing amazing in the hard times we are facing. Keep doing what you are doing, absolutely beautiful.

The Butty Bach ale was the best I’ve had on draught in a while. Had some home cooked food the Chicken Club sandwich which was very nice indeed and made to order and is very good value for money. Was surprised by the number of...people using the door to smoke outside which was slightly off putting. This is a traditional pub in the Teme Valley right on the river with great walking nearby. The people are friendly working in the pub and the locals are clearly at the heart of the pub being a local watering hole with it well used. The ale though was decent for that

We visited today for a carvery for the first time. The staff were very welcoming, the atmosphere in the pub was lovely and the food was delicious. Ed, who was serving the meats, took time to greet everyone as they approached the food counter. We...were offered turkey, lamb, beef and pork, the meat was very lean and very tasty. There was a good choice of veg which was all piping hot and the gravy was delicious. The Yorkshire puddings were a generous size. The desserts were amazing, between us we tried the brownie and different cheesecakes, these were attractively served with tasty ice cream. courses for on a Sunday, we will definitely be back.

The bar staff (an older woman) was pretty patronizing and rude on arrival. Then we went for Sunday roast dinner but there were so many people crammed into the small space that you couldn't get in and out without banging chairs with the person...behind! The poor chef kept apologizing bless him. The food was ok, but nothing special and served by the same surly and disgustingly long nailed waitress as mentioned in other reviews. But the worst bit was the fact you kept getting bashed from behind whenever someone needed to leave their table to get their food for example. It felt like the owner was Just greedy trying to squeeze too many people into a small place like that.

we stopped to drink at midday and were amazed not to be offered a meal for sure!? but yes! and what a meal it was, this was not a wetherspoons beaten meal, we talk amazing eating presented absolutely beautiful!. I'm not a big eater and rarely have an appetizer or pudding, but that didn't stop me today! Absolutely beautiful duck pate, beautifully presented main courses and the puddings. only wow! ... the dame behind the bar was also beautiful and full of quirky character, which made the meal even more pleasant. this didn't feel like a random Friday recovery, but rather treat like a special occasion where we really felt pampered after. I'm going back here. our new favorite! many thanks xx
