"We had been looking forward to our Sunday lunch but unfortunately we were so disappointed. Our table was booked for 3pm but our food did not arrive until 5pm. The place was chaotic and trying to find someone to firstly take our order and then wait so long for our food was unacceptable. Our table and area was not clean. The food was ok but the steaks my kids ordered were both luke warm. A 20% discount was deducted from the bill and the manager apologised for the wait explaining that there was a system problem with WiFi. We wanted to support this local pub but I don't feel we would go back there again."

We arrived at The Case is Altered as scheduled, but to our disappointment, the venue was closed. We were not impressed, as they should not have accepted our reservation in the first place.

Thankyou open table, you sent me 2 emails saying that my table was booked for a special 80th birthday. We got there and the pub had shut down!!!!!! No where to go with elderly people on a Sunday lunch time. Awful service.

I had the rotisserie chicken, but it was dry and lacked flavor—very bland overall. The cost per person was around £20–30. I would rate the food a 2, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 3. Parking was quite challenging to find.

Timeless iconic classic that seemingly everyone has enjoyed, over the years. Now, sadly, on the list for redevelopment into flats, I believe, this long serving bastion of the community is, outrageously, soon to be no longer with us. Who hasn’t parked up in Old Redding car park and had a drink in the beer garden on a hot summer’s day/eve? Whilst the views from the proposed flats will no doubt be spectacular, this fantastic piece of local history will be sorely missed.
