Pork belly was superb...best meal I had in 2016. Burgers are the best, too.

great staff, eating and beer (including local offers.) incredible gin selection. it is our number 1 pub to go when we stay in the opposite, it is hard to find a pub as good as this.

Somewhere that makes real Yorkshire puddings Seems to be a rare thing around here Lovely meal on Saturday night Back on Sunday for Sunday lunch .... both delicious Staff lovely aswell Highly recommended

wonderful pub. eating was top note. the staff was happy and helpful, nothing too much annoyed. would definitely recommend eating here...we had the Wednesday lunch 2 courses for £9.00 the choice and quality second to none. a great thank you to sarah that we can stay.

Ate here tonight, have to say what a breath of fresh air. Never been here before, what a lovely welcome, was told there was no tables inside but we could eat outside however within 5 mins we got told a table has come free inside. The food we had was well cooked and nicely presented and we did not have to wait long seeing as it was full. I had the sirloin steak MR thats how it came and it was tender. we had a nice lunch here before we went to thursford for Christmas. good pub food made fresh. the binham blue cheese Burger special was delicious. the personal was attentive. loved the traditional feeling of the pub, but also the modern art in winter garden and fabulous gin bottles come sap dispensers in the ladies. there was an open fire, but we were first customers in such a thing on the cold side, but it is an old building and it is so expected winter. would definitely visit again.

we had a very good traditional Sunday dinner with real bratkartoffels (not frozen, which go very fast hard and cold). the brat also came with five different vegetables and a super yorkshire pudding. there were a lot of other main courses to choose from. we enjoyed our puddings (all when they choose for the main course roast) and it was good that the crumbs on the apple crumb was nice crispy baked not microwave chew and soggy. the welcome and very good service throughout were very appreciated. the real open fire was a nice bonus.

Went for evening meal on curry night. But full menu was still available. Went for the curry but a bit disappointed to find that by 7pm one of the three curries was sold out. So left with one meat and one veggie choice. But that aside it was a great experience. Curries were very tasty. Staff really helpful. It still retains the feel of a proper country pub. Many pubs in the area have gone all out on ‘gastro’ and so not a place to go for a drink any more. Was there midweek in November but pretty busy. Overall had a nice feel. Would definitely add to pubs to go to when in the area
